ركزت المبادرة على التوعية بأضرار سوء استخدام المضادات الحيوية وآثارها على السيدات الحوامل لتحقيق فترات حمل آمنة بأقل المخاطر بين السيدات ولأجنة وذلك من خلال تقديم جلسات المشورة الفردية مع السيدات في سن الحمل وعمل ندوات توعوية للهيئات الصحية (الأطباء والممرضين والصيادلة والإداريين بالمستشفيات الجامعية) بهدف زيادة الوعي لديهم وتوضيح أحدث ما وصلت إليه المضادات ومقاومتها.

Think Tank for Development Solutions congratulates the "Safe Motherhood" initiative and its team members: Ahmed Emad- Mahmoud Saad- Hassan Mohamed – Abdullah Mamdouh- Mohamed Sherifz, from Mansoura University for winning third place in the youth competition held as part of the "Egypt Family Planning Enhancement Program." The competition was conducted under the auspices of the National Population Council and the Supreme Council of Universities, with support from the United States Agency for International Development (USAID). It was implemented by John Snow, Inc. in collaboration with the Think Tank Center for Development Solutions.

The initiative focused on raising awareness about the dangers of the misuse of antibiotics and their effects on pregnant women to ensure safe pregnancies with minimal risks for both women and their unborn children. This was achieved by providing individual counseling sessions for women of reproductive age and conducting awareness seminars for healthcare professionals (doctors, nurses, pharmacists, and administrative staff at university hospitals). The goal was to increase their awareness and explain the latest developments regarding antibiotics and antibiotic resistance.

ركزت المبادرة على التوعية بتنظيم الأسرة في محافظة كفر الشيخ وذلك من خلال عدة محاور تشمل: توعية طلاب الفرق النهائية بجامعة كفر الشيخ (من الكليات غير الطبية)، وتوعية السيدات المتزوجات في مستشفى جامعة كفر الشيخ في تخصصاتها المختلفة بالصحة الإنجابية ومفهوم تنظيم الأسرة، وتوعية السيدات في مختلف قرى المحافظة (ممن هن في سن الإنجاب) عن طريق عقد ورش عمل لهن تتعلق مفهوم تنظيم الأسرة والصحة الإنجابية، وذلك ضمن فعاليات المشاركة في القوافل التوعوية التي ينظمها فرع المجلس القومي للمرأة بالمحافظة، بالإضافة إلى توعية المجتمع من خلال وسائل التواصل الاجتماعي وموقع المبادرة وتطبيق يحمل اسم المبادرة.

Think Tank for Development Solutions congratulates the "Be Reasonable" initiative and its team members: Islam ElMahdy- Ihab Sabry – Ahmed Risho, for winning second place in the youth competition held as part of the "Egypt Family Planning Enhancement Program." The competition was conducted under the auspices of the National Population Council and the Supreme Council of Universities, with support from the United States Agency for International Development (USAID). It was implemented by John Snow, Inc. in collaboration with the Think Tank Center for Development Solutions.

The initiative focused on raising awareness about family planning in Kafr El-Sheikh Governorate through several key areas. These include educating final-year students at Kafr El-Sheikh University (from non-medical faculties), and married women in the various departments of Kafr El-Sheikh University Hospital on reproductive health and the concept of family planning. Additionally, the initiative aims to educate women of reproductive age in various villages across the governorate by organizing workshops on family planning and reproductive health as part of awareness campaigns conducted by the National Council for Women’s local branch. Moreover, the initiative seeks to raise public awareness through social media, the initiative’s website, and a dedicated mobile application.

The competition was conducted under the auspices of the National Population Council and the Supreme Council of Universities, with support from the United States Agency for International Development (USAID). It was implemented by John Snow, Inc. in collaboration with the Think Tank Center for Development Solutions.

The initiative focused on raising awareness about the risks of unplanned pregnancies and the importance of promoting breastfeeding as an effective method to support maternal and child health, as part of population planning strategies.

سعداء بانتهاء فعاليات الدورة الثالثة للمسابقة الشبابية لمشروع تعزيز برنامج مصر لتنظيم الأسرة، التي أُقيمت تحت رعاية المجلس القومي للسكان والمجلس الأعلى للجامعات، وبدعم من الوكالة الأمريكية للتنمية الدولية.

نُفِّذت المسابقة من خلال هيئة جون سنو بالتعاون مع مركز ثينك تانك للحلول التنموية. تمحور دور ثينك تانك حول تدريب الشباب على تخطيط مبادراتهم وفق أسس علمية سليمة، مع تقديم التوجيه والدعم والإرشاد لهم طوال فترة تنفيذهم لمبادراتهم المتعلقة بتنظيم الأسرة.

تنافس في المسابقة 9 فرق، وقد تكون كل فريق من 3-5 أعضاء، وقد فازت المبادرات التالية بالمراكز الثلاثة الأولى. المركز الأول فازت به: مبادرة حياة بعد الولادة من جامعة عين شمس، والمركز الثاني فازت به مبادرة بالعقل من جامعة كفر الشيخ، والمركز الثالث، فازت به مبادرة أمومة أمنة من جامعة المنصورة.

We are pleased to announce the conclusion of the third round of Youth Competition of Strengthening Egypt Family Planning Program, which was held under the auspices of the National Population Council and the Supreme Council of Universities, and with the support of the United States Agency for International Development. The competition was implemented by John Snow Inc. in cooperation with Think Tank Development Solutions. The role of Think Tank focused on training youth how to plan their initiatives based on sound scientific foundations, while providing them with guidance, support and advice throughout the implementation of their family planning initiatives.

9 teams competed in the competition, each team consisted of 3-5 members, and the following initiatives won the first three places. First place was won by: Life After Birth (Hayah Baad Elwelada) Initiative from Ain Shams University, Second place was won by the Be reasonable (Bel Aal) Initiative from Kafr El-Sheikh University, and third place was won by the Safe Motherhood (Amouma Amena) Initiative from Mansoura University.

• Thematic workshops on various issues of population and reproductive health.
• Concepts of sustainable development, social entrepreneurship, and participatory design thinking.
• Skills in planning, designing, implementing, and evaluating awareness campaigns and social projects.
• Writing and presentation skills for social projects.

• Providing technical support activities to the teams participating in the competition
• Organizing the competition between the participating teams and determining the winning teams
• Three teams will be selected to receive the cash prizes

يدعوكم المجلس القومي للسكان للمشاركة في مسابقة "مشروع تعزيز برنامج مصر لتنظيم الأسرة" لتمكين الشباب ودعم الابتكار وريادة الأعمال الاجتماعية في مجال الصحة والسكان في الجامعات المصرية تحت شعار "نحو مستقبل يسع الجميع"
تحت رعاية المجلس الأعلى للجامعات بالتعاون مع المجلس القومي للسكان وبدعم من الوكالة الأمريكية للتنمية الدولية من خلال مشروع تعزيز برنامج مصر لتنظيم الأسرة.

شروط التقدم للمسابقة
● الطلاب الملتحقين بالجامعات والمعاهد الحكومية والخاصة من جميع أنحاء الجمهورية
● السن من 18 إلى 24 سنة
● تكوين فريق من 3 إلى 5 أفراد
أن تكون فكرة المشروع/المبادرة في مجال السكان والصحة الإنجابية
● الالتزام بالمشاركة في كل أنشطة المسابقة على مدار 9 أشهر
● الاستعداد للعمل على فكرة إبداعية لحملة توعية أو مبادرة مجتمعية للترويج لقضايا السكان وتنظيم الأسرة والصحة الإنجابية
تشمل أنشطة المسابقة التالي:
● برنامج تدريبي مكثف، خلال شهر سبتمبر
يشمل التالي:
▪ ورش عمل نوعية عن مختلف قضايا السكان والصحة الإنجابية
▪ مفاهيم التنمية المستدامة، ريادة الأعمال الاجتماعية، والتفكير التصميمي التشاركي
▪ مهارات تخطيط، تصميم، تنفيذ وتقييم حملات التوعية والمشروعات الاجتماعية
▪ مهارات كتابة وعرض المشروعات الاجتماعية
● برنامج للإرشاد والتوجيه
▪ تقديم أنشطة الدعم الفني والتقني للفرق المشاركة في المسابقة
● تنظيم المسابقة بين الفرق المشاركة وتحديد الفرق الفائزة
▪ سيتم اختيار ثلاث فرق للحصول على الجوائز المالية
● تنفيذ المبادرات والمشروعات الاجتماعية
جوائز المسابقة
● الجائزة الأولى: عشرون ألف جنيه مصري
● الجائزة الثانية: خمسة عشر ألف جنيه مصري
● الجائزة الثالثة: عشرة ألف جنيه مصري
علما بأن هذه الجوائز تعتبر تمويل مبدئي بالإضافة لأنواع أخرى من الدعم التقني والفني والالتحاق ببرنامج مشروعات ريادة الأعمال وفرص أخرى ستتاح لبعض الفرق المختارة.

“Strengthen Egypt’s Family Planning Program” Competition
“Towards an Inclusive Future”
The National Population Council invites you to participate in the “Strengthen Egypt’s Family Planning Program” competition for youth empowerment and supporting innovation and social entrepreneurship in the health and population at the Egyptian universities with the slogan “Towards an Inclusive Future”.
Under the auspices of the Supreme Council of Universities, in cooperation with the National Population Council, and with the support of the United States Agency for International Development, through the "Strengthen Egypt’s Family Planning Program" project.
Application criteria
• Students enrolled in public and private universities and institutes from all over Egypt
• Age from 18 to 24 years old
• Form a team of 3 to 5 people
• The idea of the project/initiative to be in the field of population and reproductive health
• Commitment to participate in all competition activities over a period of 9 months
• Willingness to work on a creative idea for an awareness campaign or community initiative to promote population, family planning and reproductive health issues.
The competition activities include
• Intensive training program, during the month of September
Includes the following:
• Thematic workshops on various issues of population and reproductive health.
• Concepts of sustainable development, social entrepreneurship, and participatory design thinking.
• Skills in planning, designing, implementing, and evaluating awareness campaigns and social projects.
• Writing and presentation skills for social projects.
• Mentoring and mentoring program
• Providing technical support activities to the teams participating in the competition
• Organizing the competition between the participating teams and determining the winning teams
• Three teams will be selected to receive the cash prizes
• Implementation of social initiatives and projects

Competition prizes
• First Prize: Twenty Egyptian thousand pounds
• Second prize: Fifteen Egyptian thousand pounds
• Third prize: Ten Egyptian thousand pounds
Note that these awards are considered initial funding in addition to other technical support, joining the Entrepreneurship Projects Program, and other opportunities available to some of the selected teams.
