Well, the tricky part here is called compound subject . It should go with plural verb . So, "was " is the incorrect part.

What is the SAT ?
The SAT is a test that many colleges use in their evaluation of applicants for admission . The test runs 3 hours and 45 minutes and is divided into 10 sections
