Juba — Serious allegations have emerged involving Adut Kiir, who is said to have procured 10,000 passport booklets and subsequently directed the Ministry of Interior to issue passports only to individuals who applied after the delivery of the new booklets.

According to the claims, applicants whose requests had been pending prior to the arrival of the booklets would not be processed under the new batch. It is further alleged that payments for the passports under this arrangement were to be made directly to her as part of the condition under which the booklets were procured.

Sources state that the Director responsible had not secured passport booklets despite applicants reportedly being charged 150 USD each, leading to public frustration and prompting the Special Envoy’s intervention to purchase the materials.

There has been no official statement from the Ministry of Interior or from Adut Kiir responding to these allegations.

The reported development has sparked concern among citizens, particularly those whose passport applications remain pending. Further updates are expected as the matter unfolds.

Even with this crackdown to reduce the numbers of foreigners in Egypt. More Sudanese are still trooping in through the Aswan border.

The Egyptian authority are not smiling at all, they really mean business and i don't see this crackdown on refugees and asylum seekers slowing down soon.
