في الكتب تعلّمتُ أن الزمن يمكن طيّه، وأن الحزن قد يُكتَب فيصير أخّف، وأن الفرح حين يُحكَى يتضاعف، أتعلم من أخطاء لم أقترفها، وأحب أشخاصاً لم ألتقِ بهم، وأعود شخصاً مختلفاً كل مرة أغلق فيها الغلاف.

لم تكن القراءة يوماً هواية… كانت دائماً الطريقة الوحيدة التي أعرف بها كيف أنجو من ثِقَل الأيام 🤍

في ذلك المساء، حين صمت العالم قليلاً، فتحتُ كتاباً كأنني أفتح باباً سرياً لعالمٍ آخر و حياةٍ أخرى.

لم تكن الصفحات حبراً وورقاً، بل طرقاً سرّية للهروب من الضجيج، وجسوراً أعبر بها إلى قلوبٍ لم أعرفها من قبل، وكأن الكتب خُلقت لتُذكّرنا أننا لسنا وحدنا.

أحياناً أقرأ لأفهم، وأحياناً أقرأ لأنسى، لكن في كلتا الحالتين يتعلّم قلبي كيف يرى العالم من زاويةٍ أوسع.

فالكتب لا تغيّر العالم دفعةً واحدة، لكنها تغيّر قارئها فيتغيّر العالم من حوله قليلاً قليلا، صفحةً بعد صفحة.
