وقد تقرر نقله بعد عرضه في جاليري الشارقة بالجامعة الأمريكية بالقاهرة الجديدة من 4 حتى 30 نوفمبر 2021
ليصبح متاحاً للعرض العام.

يقدم العرض أعمال رائد التصميم الراحل بول راند في مجالات تصميم الشعار والهوية البصرية والتصميم التحريري والإعلاني منذ الثلاثينيات وحتي التسعينيات من القرن الماضي، والتي تُعرض للمرة الأولى في الشرق الأوسط.
المعرض من تنسيق نجلاء سمير ودانيال ليواندوسكي.

تم تمويل المعرض من خلال منحة من السفارة الأمريكية بالقاهرة، بالشراكة مع قسم الفنون في الجامعة الأمريكية بالقاهرة.

يستمر العرض حتى 20 يناير 2022
المعرض مفتوح يومياً من الساعة 10:00 صباحاً حتى الساعة 9:00 مساءً
الدخول مجاني ومفتوح للجمهور.

Paul Rand: The Idealist/Realist
Retrospective Exhibition:

Opening at 6pm, on Saturday December 11th, 2021
At Margo Veillon Gallery, AUC Tahrir Cultural Center

The show will run till January 13th, 2022
Gallery opens daily, 10:00am-9:00pm
Free admission and open to the public.

Exhibited in the Middle East for the first time at the American University in Cairo, the works of late design trailblazer Paul Rand are being showcased in an exhibition that gathers the works of the late designer. This co-curated project from Nagla Samir and Daniel Lewandowski touches on the origins of branding design, visual identity design, editorial design, and advertising.
The exhibit was originally located at AUC’s New Cairo campus for the AUC community, and is now relocated to be open to the public.
The exhibition is funded by the US Embassy in Cairo, in partnership with the Department of the Arts at the American University in Cairo.

Who is Paul Rand?
American graphic designer Paul Rand (1914 - 1996) skyrocketed the development of the American Modernist style. Rand is best known for his corporate logo designs, including the logos for IBM, UPS, Enron, Morningstar, Inc., Westinghouse, ABC, and NeXT.

Paul Rand: The Idealist/Realist celebrates the work oeuvre of the graphic design legend, 25 years after he passed.

The retrospective exhibition will be inaugurated, at the Sharjah Art Gallery, the American University in Cairo, New Cairo Campus, November 4th, from 5:00pm.

Offering a chance of guided tours by the co-curators Danny Lewandowski and Nagla Samir.
The exhibition will run till November 25th. Gallery working hours, Sunday through Thursday, 9:30am-4:30pm.

AUC community only. Due to Covid-19, gallery entry is controlled, on first arrive first serve basis.

Paul Rand: Thoughts/Processes is looking for talented and eager creatives and entrepreneurs hoping to expand their advertising prowess. Through the ’s global advertising and outreach workshop, held in partnership with Fair Trade Egypt, an NGO dedicated to supporting Egyptian artisans, the workshop will focus on challenges commonly faced by those working in advertising.

With the help of a group of experts, the workshop will ask students to conduct research, analysis, ideation, and prototyping. Participants will be handpicked, and will be able to explore new ideas via concentrated workshops that will draw from an ethnocultural point of view.

The two-day immersive workshops will involve conducting research, analysis, ideation, and prototyping. The Symposium and Design Sprint are supported by grants from the U.S Embassy in Cairo and the American University in Cairo. The design sprint is also sponsored by Art in Reverb Creative Collaborative.
