Supernova ROV

• SuperNova ROV is under construction by a team of Electrical and Mechanical students from Don Bosco Technical Institute,Cairo, Egypt.

• The project objective is the design and manufacture of a remotely operated underwater vehicle (ROV). An underwater remotely operated vehicle (ROV) is a mobile robot designed for aquatic work environments. It may be used for surveillance missions, underwater explorations and debris removal in environments underwater that are hardly or unsafe to be reached by divers. This vehicle is to be controlled remotely by an offshore pilot (the pilot may be on board of a vessel) using solely the aid of watertight cameras and lights attached to the vehicle for guidance. The vehicle is tethered to the shore or a vessel by a multiple wire electrical cable (umbilical) carrying power, control and video signals.
