C.O.R.D.

Lately around the world, new voices emerging everyday, shouting for a change, a change in the way we live, towards more effective and considerate lifestyle, one that can preserve our planet and help avoid global scale crisis in such a connected, rapidly changing world. The answer is usually not far to figure out, it's better education we are seeking. Every country is trying to enhance its education system in its own way. Surveys show conclusively that the numbers of future builders, "Kids of today", pursuing technical studies and hence technical careers, are rapidly dropping, suggesting a new challenge of not only having disrupting attitudes of using technology but, may be as well scarcity in maintaining technology development and even having less capable medical support.

All of that can be avoided, starting with better education, more specifically, better practical science education. The education game has changed rapidly since mankind enter the information age, industrial age learning became increasingly obselete and event harmful.

Every person in the education process can hold himself/herself accountable for a better future, there are new studies that can show us where to go next and how to switch our mindsets to the information age thinking.

All of that can be avoided, starting with better education, more specifically, better practical science education. The education game has changed rapidly since mankind enter the information age, industrial age learning became increasingly obsolete and event harmful. t we learn by doing. Up to date studies, education mentors and world leaders of the field statements, edutainment tools criticism, and creating edutainment atmosphere showing how science can be interesting, these are the main goals of the workshop to deliver.

And so, we are back to Egypt after a great experience. We've learnt a lot and met the most interesting people who are truly looking for new ways to benefit their communities, and provide accessibility to their services for people in need of it, changing lives to the better. We pitched CORD to lot's of people and got amazing constructive feedback to work on to drive CORD to be the "Trusted Science Communication Brand" Known as far as CORD has reached globally and more.
As well, we wish all the best and congratulate the team of "Tahrir Academy", Winners from Egypt in this year's Social track of MIT Enterprise Competition.

This product and much more is available now through Science Crafts program to kids under 16 of age, and soon, workshops will be announced for adults as well.
We are working to provide this product as a standalone, available for purchase anywhere with proper technical support that requires no specific background needed, just the will to build a robot :)

معمل الروبوت "Robotics Lab" أحد أعمال كورد الجديدة. يهدف ببساطة الى تسهيل الطريق على من يرغب في تعلم تصميم الربوت استنادا على ثورة التبسيط التي أحدثها الأردوينو في مجال البرمجة المتعلقة بالتحكم, حيث لم يكن الأردوينو عقل الكتروني فقط و لكن مبدأ عام من الأدوات المتاحة... قامت كورد بتحديد سلسلة من السيناريوهات لبسيطة لبناء كذا روبوت بسيط و دمج ذلك مع امكانيات الميكانو في تكوين الأجسام و الميكانيزمات المتحركة. و يتم تقديم تلك السناريوهات بطريقة تساعد المستخدم أن يدمج فيما بعد بين كل تلك الأفكار ثم يكون فكرته الخاصة...

Robotics Lab, it's one of CORD's newest innovations. Robotics Lab focuses on being an easy gate for those who want to build robots for any purpose "fun being the most common", capitalizing on the Arduino revolution of simplifying programming and control, The Arduino's strength doesn't only come from the chip or the board but, it's more of a concept, concept of availability, a wide variety of modules, shields and auxiliaries to go with it for the quickest start ever.
Robotics Lab is the quickest way to starting a new Robotic innovation, offering multiple learning scenarios that becomes building blocks to the user's own innovation afterwards.

We're still working on its name, and the product is not yet offered as a stand alone product however; the experience is always available through CORD's workshops for robot building

بفضل الله, منذ قليل ارسلت كورد أوراقها الخاصة بالمرحلة الثانية من مسابقة ريادة الأعمال من معهد ماساشوستس التكنولوجي (ام آي تي) لمنطقة الوطن العربي, في اتجاه الريادة المجتمعية. كان قد تم اختيار كورد من ضمن المتسابقين على مستوى الوطن العربي للصعود لدورة التصفية الثانية و تقديم كورد و منتجاتها أمام الحكام و المستثمرين في مدينة الكويت في نصف أبريل المقبل.


A few minutes ago, CORD submitted its business documents to the second round of the MIT PAN Arab Enterprise competition, in the social track. CORD was earlier shortlisted to be in the semi-finals of the competition and have the opportunity to present its work and potential during the second round selection phase, the second half of April. We are proud to have other Egyptian project with us as well that we respect and for the best to all contestants.

حدث في مثل هذا اليوم:
أول ظهور رسمي للروبوت الحشرة في حملة التمويل الجماعي مع تنرا لتنظيم روبوتخانة في أسوان
هذا الروبوت الحشري البسيط لم يكن يعلم في هذه اللحظة ما هو مقدر له من ظهو في محافل دولية, حيث كان أول أعمال كورد ظهورا في الدنمارك لجنسيات غير عربية و تبعها أكثر من ظهور خارج مصر حيث لاقى الاعجاب ببساطته و محتواه العلمي :)
Happened a year ago:
The first official appearance for Robo-Bug, during the Tennra crowd funding campaign to get RobotKhana project to Aswan.
That very simple Robo-bug, didn't know back then how it was going to be the first of all CORDian products to have as much international appearances, It all started in LEGO Land, Denmark, where the Robo-Bug workshop was first introduced :)

من أخبار الفترة السابقة: رحلة تونس
في شهر مارس الماضي و بالتعاون مع أصدقاء تونسيين من جامعة قابس, شاركت كورد في مؤتمر عن صناعة و تصمسم الروبوت. خلال فاعليات المؤتمر قدمت كورد 5 ورش عمل تنوعت بين صناعة الروبوت من المواد البسيطة المتاحة و بين استخدام الأردوينو في عمل الروبوت. و لحسن الحظ تقابلنا مع جمعية "نبراس" لتعليم الأطفال و قدمت كورد ورش عمل بسيطة للأطفال المتفوقون و تدريب المعلمين الأفاضل في الجمعية ليستكملو المسيرة بعد عودتنا الى مصر.
خلال الرحلة, وفرت كورد كل المواد المطلوبة لورش العمل, بالاضافة الى توفير 4 معامل لتصنيع الروبوت بواسطة الأردوينو. كل الطرق و المواد و "قصص البناء التعليمية" تم تطويرها في معمل كورد بغرض توفير تجارب تعليمية من المتاح, تمكن من يتبعها أن يمزج بينها فيما بعد للوصول لابداعة المختلف الخاص.
لاقت ورش العمل استحسان و اقبال من الأشقاء التونسيين الذين أكرمونا و لاقينا منهم كل تقدير و احترام, و لهم منا كل احترام و شكر و تقدير و نرجو من الله أللا يكون آخر تعاون و يتبعه الكثير من النجاحات للجميع :)

News from Elapsed period: Tunisia trip
In March, last year, and in collaboration with Tunisian friends in Gabes University, CORD participated in the conference for Robot Building and Design. During the conference CORD introduced 5 workshops about robot building that varied from simple robot building using surroundings by knowing the simple physics behind using them, and the use of Arduino in Robot Building. Fortunately for us, we met as will with an NGO called "Nebras" with which, we conducted simple workshops for robot building to the pioneering students, as well we did a crashed training for using Arduino to the passionate and devoted teachers of Nebras, so that, they can effectively continue the journey after we return to Egypt.
During the trip, CORD provided all the materials and kits needed. As well, we supplied 4 Robotics Labs designed in CORD, to use Arduino and Meccano to provide building experiences that can form learning blocks, the user can then easily use the blocks learned to create his/her own innovation.
The workshop were very well received and our Tunisian friends offered the highest levels of hospitality that we sincerely would like to show our deepest gratitude for. And we sincerely hope this won't be our last collaboration. :)
