About the Role
We're looking for a highly experienced engineer to take ownership of our iOS and Android apps and define PurePath's long-term mobile technology strategy — auditing what exists, rebuilding where needed, and setting the technical direction as we scale toward millions of users.

Key Responsibilities

Take technical ownership of PurePath's iOS and Android applications
Audit the existing React Native/Expo app and determine what to improve, replace, or rearchitect
Evaluate the best long-term mobile architecture — React Native, native Swift/Kotlin, Kotlin Multiplatform, or other technologies
Build smooth, fast, polished, and reliable mobile experiences across iOS and Android
Move mobile development into a professional GitHub-based engineering environment
Own TestFlight, App Store, Google Play, CI/CD, and release infrastructure
Establish strong engineering standards, testing, documentation, and code-review practices

Requirements

Strong experience building and maintaining large production mobile applications
Deep knowledge of mobile architecture and performance
Strong React Native and TypeScript experience
Strong understanding of native iOS and Android development
Experience with Swift/SwiftUI and Kotlin/Jetpack Compose
Experience publishing and maintaining apps on the Apple App Store and Google Play
Strong knowledge of Git, CI/CD, testing, monitoring, and production debugging
Strong product judgment and attention to UI/UX quality
Excellent English communication skills
A plus: Kotlin Multiplatform, WebRTC/video calling, or experience in healthcare, fintech, high-scale consumer apps, or sensitive user data

About the Role
We're looking for a senior engineer to take technical ownership of our backend systems, databases, cloud infrastructure, and security — building the foundation PurePath needs to scale safely to millions of users while handling sensitive behavioral health data.

Key Responsibilities

Own backend architecture — audit, rearchitect, and scale systems for millions of users
Design secure, scalable PostgreSQL data models and manage migrations, indexing, and backups
Build and manage cloud infrastructure (AWS preferred), including encryption, access controls, and disaster recovery
Implement caching, queues, background processing, monitoring, and alerting for scale and reliability
Support architecture behind AI/LLM integrations, authentication, payments, real-time features, and more
Establish strong observability to quickly identify and resolve system issues

Requirements

Strong experience building and operating production backend systems
Advanced knowledge of TypeScript and Node.js
Strong PostgreSQL and SQL experience
Experience with AWS or another major cloud platform
Strong knowledge of APIs, authentication, authorization, security, and database architecture
Experience with caching, queues, background jobs, and scalable systems
Strong Git, testing, CI/CD, monitoring, and DevOps fundamentals
Excellent English communication skills
A plus: NestJS, Redis/Valkey, AWS RDS/Aurora, S3, SQS, Docker, WebSockets, Go, or experience in healthcare, fintech, AI systems, WebRTC/video infrastructure, or high-scale consumer products
