The EFDC extends its deepest gratitude to the Egyptian ambassador to Austria, HE Mohamed Nasr, and his spouse, Mrs.Marwa, for hosting a curated selection of Egyptian fashion, accessories, jewelry and home accessory designers and brands organized by EFDC board member Susan Sabet.
The selection aimed to give the Austrian and international community a glimpse of the variety the Egyptian creatives produce: from handcrafted and aetisanal pieces to sustainable rtw or one of a kind couture pieces.
With almost 150 guests in attendance, Egypt's design industry enjoyed the deserved recognition

Join Lebanese-Doha based designer Roni Helou in conversation with local key industry figures in design sustainability and finance opening the floor for a much anticipated Q&A on Saturday May 16 from 2 pm.to 4 pm at the Museum Hall The British University Egypt at Al Shorouk.
A graduate of Creative Space Beirut, he launched his namesake label in 2017 and was the winner of the rtw category of the first edition of Fashion Trust Arabia in 2019.
Roni is currently the project manager and strategist at the Qatar Museum.
In two panel conversations moderated by EFDC board member Susan Sabet he will be joined by Egyptian fashion designer Alia Abaza and Tiye Angels founder Ola Al Dajani and Manal Olama CEO The Egyptian Clothing Bank and Upfuse co founder Yara Yassin.
