The company “Eastern Company for Trading and Manufacturing – Emara Brothers” was founded by Sayed Emara in 1943. The company first operated in Mit Ghamr, in El Dakahlia using handmade wooden looms.
In 1951, The Company relocated to Shubra El Kheima, Cairo, on 3000 meter square site with annual production capacity of 4,500,000 meters, operating136 automatic looms, 2 wraping machines, 2 sizing machines and employing 192 employees.
In 1990, a new path was found by Emara's second generation, and as a result, a new company emerged “International Company for textile Industries – Setex”. The company’s specializing in manifacturing soft furnishing fabrics for supplying hotels and retailers. The factory deployes Vamatex computerized machines, 30 projectile sulzer looms, 20 airjet picanol looms and units for producing fabrics brushes from Vamatex Jacquard Looms. Total annual production capacity 480 tons.
The company currently planning to expand its manufacturing capability and will be moving to a 5000 Sqm site at the beginning of 2014.
The company aims to offer the best combination of products' quality, service, and price for its volume clients, after gaining a wide customer base, represented in majority of top 5 stars hotels in Egypt. Also the company now is expanding its international market for Europe, America and Middle East.
