Die größte Figur aus dem alten Ägypten. Er war ein Teil vom Steinbruch vom Gizehplatue, der schlechte Qualität hatte. Die Ingenieure lehnten das ab Bausteine davon zu schlagen. Mohammed Saimu Aldahr, ein fanatischer Sufischeich hat die Nase im Mittelalter abgemeisselt und der Bart lag auf dem Boden für sehr lange Zeit. Ein Teil des Bartes ist im ägyptischen Museum im Tahrirplatz u der andere im britischen Museum in London.
Die Statue heute steht im stark restaurierten Zustand.
