Strong Operational Progress at the Abu Qir Metro Project in Alexandria

We continue to achieve major milestones at the Abu Qir Metro Project, with the elevated trackwork section nearing completion. To date, 14.7 km have been completed out of the total 15.2 km elevated section.

Constructed in partnership with Colas Rail, the 21.7 km electrified metro system will connect Downtown Alexandria to Abu Qir through 20 stations, supporting the modernization of Egypt’s railway infrastructure.

Construction continues to progress across stations, depot facilities, and the remaining at-grade trackwork section.

The project has mobilized 7,700 personnel to the site and achieved 13 million safe man-hours, reflecting safety as a core value.

This achievement further strengthens our regional track record of more than 3,800 km delivered across metros, railways, and tunnels.

Lighthouse Data Center, Port Washington, Wisconsin, USA

Building 12 at Vantage Data Center has topped out, reaching its full structural height. It is one of four buildings that make up the broader Lighthouse Data Center Campus in Port Washington, Wisconsin, developed by Vantage Data Centers.

Weitz, our wholly owned U.S. subsidiary, serves as one of the project’s general contractors delivering a 200 MW hyperscale data center scope. The project features a closed-loop liquid cooling, energy generation, and water-positive operations.

This milestone further strengthens the Group's global data center portfolio, which now exceeds 1.5 GW of capacity and more than 20 data centers for leading hyperscalers and developers.

Sioux Falls Regional Airport Concourse Expansion, South Dakota, USA 🇺🇸

Following the groundbreaking in September, Weitz, our U.S. subsidiary, alongside Journey Group, is making steady progress on the concourse expansion at Sioux Falls Regional Airport in South Dakota.

The project includes a two-story concourse with five new gates, enhanced passenger amenities, and a more efficient layout designed to elevate the travel experience.

This milestone builds on our ongoing work at Des Moines International Airport in Iowa and adds to our U.S. aviation portfolio, which includes six ongoing aviation projects across four U.S. states and completed key projects such as Kansas City International Airport.
