Heart Lung Machine ( Stockert S5 ) :
The main equipment of The Open Heart Surgery
This machine is also called a cardiopulmonary bypass machine.
It pumps blood while the patient's heart is stopped and adds oxygen to the blood before it is pumped throughout the body
the oxygenator :
One component of the heart-lung machine .
The oxygenator component serves as the lung, and is designed to expose the blood to oxygen and remove carbon dioxide.
It is disposable and contains about 2–4 m² of a membrane permeable to gas but impermeable to blood, in the form of hollow fibers
