تخيل إنك محتاج زراعة كلية. في الوضع الطبيعي، لازم تستنى لحد ما تلاقي متبرع نفس فصيلة دمك. وده ممكن ياخد شهور... أو سنين. في أمريكا لوحدها، 11 شخص بيموتوا كل يوم وهم مستنيين كلية.

فريق من كندا والصين قدروا يحولوا كلية فصيلة A لكلية فصيلة O — اللي بتتوافق مع أي جسم.

إزاي؟ استخدموا إنزيمات زي "المقص" على مستوى الجزيئات — بتشيل الطبقة اللي بتخلي الجهاز المناعي يرفض العضو. العالم اللي قاد البحث شبّهها كده: "زي ما تشيل الطلاء الأحمر من عربية وتكشف الأساس المحايد تحتيه. بعد كده، الجهاز المناعي مبيشوفش العضو كجسم غريب."

جربوها على جسم إنسان (متبرع متوفي دماغياً بموافقة أهله) والكلية اشتغلت لعدة أيام.

🧬 Scientists Created a "Universal" Kidney That Works With Any Blood Type — And It Could Change Everything

A team from Canada and China managed to convert a Type A kidney into a Type O kidney — which is compatible with any body.

يعني لو عايز تفتح مطعم مثلاً، بدل ما تقول لحد "روح صمملي المنيو" وتستناه يخلص، وبعدين "جهزلي المكان"، وبعدين "دور على موردين" — دلوقتي بتقول لفريق كامل وكل واحد ياخد مهمته ويشتغل فيها بالتوازي ومتواصلين مع بعض.
