Finally some good news for IMGs ...

Finally, great news for international candidates planning to take the MRCP UK exams!

Starting in 2025, the MRCP Part 2 exams for international candidates will transition to remote online exams.

For those planning for MRCP Part 1 online exam, limited spaces are available for eligible candidates to sit the exam overseas.

It will never end.

We received a lot of comments, feedbacks, and emotions about the exam 😞
Most of the candidates agreed that the exam was tough and a lot of questions were out of sense.

Let's agree that, the next few diets of MRCP exams will be tough and hard (it is just expectations because of the current situation regarding the unavailability of PACES exam slots)

But here is another way of thinking about the exams: don’t think it is an easy exam, it is one of the toughest exams in the medical field, but it will be easy if you do it in the right way.

Ask yourself:
1- How did you prepare for the exam, it was the right way to prepare, it was dedicated, and you did what is needed to pass the exam?
2- The exam, was it actually tough and hard, and there were new concepts?
3- What about your time management during the exam?

If you are true to yourself, you will find a lot of weakness and improper preparation, but I believe that the most important and frustrating reasons are 𝐮𝐧𝐦𝐚𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐞𝐝 𝐡𝐢𝐠𝐡-𝐲𝐢𝐞𝐥𝐝 𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐜𝐞𝐩𝐭𝐬 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐰𝐞𝐚𝐤 𝐛𝐚𝐬𝐢𝐜 𝐤𝐧𝐨𝐰𝐥𝐞𝐝𝐠𝐞 especially if go to question banks directly.

𝐀𝐝𝐯𝐢𝐜𝐞

MRCP examinations are like any exams, need hard work and dedication.
With time MRCP exams are getting harder and tougher which needs a different approach to handle the examinations.

Let's agree that, going through the questions banks without fresh, basic medical knowledge is not the appropriate way for preparation for MRCP exams as it will be annoying, exhausting, time-consuming, and frustrating with more stressful days just before the exam as what you need at that time is a solid source to revise all possible concepts of the exam, not more questions solving.

𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐒𝐞𝐜𝐫𝐞𝐭𝐬 𝐎𝐟 𝐌𝐑𝐂𝐏 𝐄𝐱𝐚𝐦𝐬 𝐈𝐬 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐂𝐎𝐍𝐂𝐄𝐏𝐓𝐒
Don't exhaust yourself memorizing the questions answers or explanations you will not be tested like this.
But try to get the basic concept behind the questions so that you can solve many different questions testing the same concept.
Practicing more and more questions with a solid background of medical knowledge will improve your way of handling the questions in the exam especially part II as time is your first enemy.
