At the 𝐔𝐍𝐈𝐃𝐎 𝐏𝐨𝐬𝐭-𝐓𝐈𝐂𝐀𝐃9 𝐖𝐨𝐫𝐤𝐬𝐡𝐨𝐩 𝐢𝐧 𝐊𝐞𝐧𝐲𝐚, we didn’t just talk about recycling. We built a plan with partners from 𝐉𝐚𝐩𝐚𝐧 and 𝐒𝐞𝐧𝐞𝐠𝐚𝐥 to turn the forgotten/lost plastics into affordable, durable construction materials.

Together, we designed a joint plan to:
♻️ Recycle plastic waste
🏗️ Convert it into sustainable building materials
💪 Strengthen local manufacturing
👷‍♀️ Provide dignified income and formalize the informal sector
🌍 Reduce imported wood and protect ecosystems

Dignity is a resource. Partnership is infrastructure. Innovation matters only when it lifts the people closest to the problem. Our joint plan, Drop Me (Egypt), Pirika, Inc. (Japan), and SARL (Senegal), is pushing into a pilot in Kaolack, Senegal. And this is just the beginning.

For Drop Me, Japan was that moment.

When our Founder & CEO, Ahmed Saeed, stood at 𝐓𝐈𝐂𝐀𝐃9 𝐢𝐧 𝐘𝐨𝐤𝐨𝐡𝐚𝐦𝐚, as the 𝐨𝐧𝐥𝐲 𝐜𝐢𝐫𝐜𝐮𝐥𝐚𝐫𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐮𝐩 𝐫𝐞𝐩𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐄𝐠𝐲𝐩𝐭 𝐚𝐜𝐫𝐨𝐬𝐬 𝐀𝐟𝐫𝐢𝐜𝐚, he wasn’t simply pitching a startup. He was carrying the story of a community, a culture, and a country, proving that local innovation can shape global change.

Japan taught us three lessons:
