M.I.A ( Made In Alexandria ) is a robotics team founded in Alexandria, Egypt in 2011.
For eleven years, the team has participated in major worldwide robotics competitions Made in Alexandria (M.I.A) is a technical team founded by 15 students from the Faculty of Engineering - Alexandria University. During the last couple of years, many students joined us until we've reached +100 members. Our first aim is ABU Robocon in 2012; however, we also participated in different competitions suc
🏆 1st Place Worldwide — AnimalCLEF 2026
We won AnimalCLEF 2026 under CVPR & CLEF 2026.
We built an AI system that identifies animals individually in the wild, recognizes unseen identities, and clusters new ones automatically.
Competing against researchers and MSc/PhD teams worldwide, we secured 1st place globally 🥇

Alongside this achievement, our team earned:
