ActInSpace Estonia 2016 hackathon has now ended and here we are on the stage - the winners of special prize by Prototron!

AstroMelon is a greenhouse in space. We combine novel NASA technologies and lot of enthusiasm to make it happen. Our plan is to ship standalone greenhouse into the Moon and the technology and robots do all the works.

Imagine yourself going to your dream-journey and being on the moon. What would you like to eat there? Something like this? Really?

NASA has a plan the return of humans to the moon by 2020 in preparation for visits to Mars and possibly beyond. European Space Agency announces plans to build a 'Moon village' by 2030. Currently a few companies working on sending civilians (not just astronauts) into space with a private spacecraft. We reach space sooner and more often, to travel farther and faster for less cost, and to live and work in space for longer periods.For that we need space-grown food.

NASA plans to grow food on future spacecraft. Fresh food for astronauts to provide them essential vitamins and nutrients - would you like to taste it too?
