MYT
MYT ties are Nordic handmade neckties and bow ties. All ties are crafted by Nordic artisans using the finest Italian pure wool fabrics and real leather. MYT
MYT stands for individualist ruggedness and might. MYT ties are handmade using the finest leather and textile. MYT ties feel nordic - rugged yet sleek. All neckties come in two forms: skinny and wide. All bow ties are a 2-in-1 combo - each side of the bow tie has a different colour-combination and pattern, so you could choose the one you like best today. It's like having two ties for the price of one. Brilliant, ay? Mighty fine.

I bet you’ve all been wondering by now if we’ve quit business.. just before Christmas!?!
Nope, just the opposite!
We’ve been nailed behind our sewing machines preparing for it. At quite the last minute as it often is the case with us.. But good news is that there are a lot of old besties and new goodies for you to explore and choose from to take home with yourself or to give as a special gift to your best friend!
Stay tuned!

“I am not strange. I am just not normal.”
S. Dalí
What is normal by the way?
normal - conforming to the standard or the common type.
Well in that case.. MYT ties are proud to be NOT normal!
We solemnly promise to never be common, to never be usual, to never be the same old typical tie but to always try to be extraordinary!

Ever wondered how the neck-tie came to be? Well the story itself is quite long, but here's the first bit...
The neck-tie has its roots in military history. In 210 BC when China’s first emperor, Qin Shih Huang died he wanted to be protected by his army also in his afterlife and therefore an army of terracotta replicas of his soldiers was buried with him. Each statue wore a wrapped cloth around it's neck and this is considered to be the earliest known predecessor of the modern tie.
Pretty awe-inspiring, or what?

Yesterday was a holy day, a day for resting, but it was even more special than that...
It was Oscar Wilde's birthday!!
Doesn't he look good in this picture? We like to think he would have been our client, after all, he was the perfect type - a man of great style and courage. As every man who ever wore a MYT tie is ;)

"The man who chooses to wear our tie is in principle a confident and fun-loving guy with a big curiosity. I want him to feel unique inside that would transpire in an authentic style and not in an artificially constructed one. Our man is a real man."
Those are the words of our designer Pamela, when asked what she thinks about while choosing the next tie styles.

Karl Menninger has said: "What that the teacher is, is more important than what he teaches".
A good mind teaches you to read write and think, but a good heart together with the mind teaches you to live.
We want to say a big thank you to all of the teachers who prepare with love and passion our carefree youth for life. Keep up the good work!
We like to think that sometimes, our ties will find their way to school too... To gain some extra knowledge, you know ;)
