Encendió el ci******lo mientras la miraba a los ojos, con la misma paciencia que lo había hecho en la mañana. Tomó 3 bocanadas y lo pasó. Eran los últimos días del verano en Montevideo, pero aún la ciudad ardía.
El taxi estaba apunto de llegar así que decidieron repetir el mismo ritual de cada despedida, el ci******lo y las miradas en silencio, no les había fallado antes.
Solo que esta sería la última vez.
Él tomó su maleta y se acercó a la puerta, mientras ella lo miró desde la ventana y sonreía cerrando un poco los ojos. Él le guiñó el ojo con el mismo acto repetitivo que usaba para salir en las fotos. Cerró la puerta y se escuchó como bajaba por las escaleras, hasta que sus pasos se fueron desvaneciendo.

Sometimes the best memories are unplanned.
Went snorkeling solo in San Cristóbal, Galápagos, and these dreamy shots with the sea turtles are only half the story! I actually met these amazing girls right there.
One of them, I initially caught on camera by accident, but we got chatting and ended up having a blast taking these photos together.
A true Galápagos magic moment and a wonderful coincidence. ✨🐢

The King of the Mist. A Galapagos Sea Lion taking a moment of reflection on the rocky shore.
The coastal mist (garúa) adds a dramatic and mysterious atmosphere, blurring the background and keeping the focus on its imposing pose. I love how its body follows the line of the rock.

It’s one of the few places in the world where you can see this curious coexistence of such unique species. A postcard of biodiversity!
