Everything is a miracle
There are only two ways to live your life. One is as though nothing is a miracle. The other is as though everything is a miracle.

But without deeper reflection one knows from daily life that one exists for other people; first of all for those upon whose smiles and well-being our own happiness is wholly dependent, and then for the many, unknown to us, to whose destinies we are bound by the ties of sympathy.

A hundred times every day I remind myself that my inner and outer life are based on the labors of other men, living and dead, and that I must exert myself in order to give in the same measure as I have received and am still receiving.

A human being is part of a whole, called by us the "Universe," a part limited in time and space. He experiences himself, his thoughts and feelings, as something separated from the rest -a kind of optical delusion of his consciousness. This delusion is a kind of prison for us, restricting us to our personal desires and to affection for a few persons nearest us.

Our task must be to free ourselves from this prison by widening our circles of compassion to embrace all living creatures and the whole of nature in its beauty.

"EL TIEMPO."
La vida es una tarea que nos trajimos para hacer en casa.
Cuando uno mira... ya son las seis de la tarde; cuando uno mira... ya es viernes; cuando uno mira... ya es Navidad; cuando uno mira... ya se terminó el año; cuando uno mira... ¡ya se pasaron 50 o 60 años!
Cuando uno mira... ya no sabemos más por donde andan nuestros amigos.
Cuando uno mira... perdimos al amor de nuestra vida y, ahora, es tarde ya para volver atrás.
Si me fuera dado un día más, una oportunidad, ya no miraría más el reloj.
Seguiría siempre de frente e iría jugando por el camino, viendo pasar lo inútil de las horas.
Sostendría a todos mis amigos y compañeros que ya no sé por dónde andan, ni cómo están, y les diría:
“Ustedes son extremadamente importantes para mí.”
Abrazaría fuertemente al amor mío, y le diría: “Te Amo...!”
Hoy, por aquello de que ya algunos se nos adelantaron, te digo: *No dejes de hacer algo que te gusta por falta de tiempo. No dejes de tener alguien a tu lado, porque tus hijos pronto no serán tuyos, y tendrás que hacer algo con ése tiempo que resta,* en donde lo único que vamos a extrañar será el espacio que sólo se puede disfrutar con los amigos de siempre. Ese tiempo que, lamentablemente, no vuelve jamás..."

La gratitud es la mejor actitud.
