International Mathematics Master

Applications are open to both local and international students with a strong academic background. The program is highly competitive and typically admits students within the top 5%, although we recognize that grades do not always fully reflect mathematical talent or potential. Candidates interested in pursuing a European-standard MSc in Fundamental Mathematics, taught by a team of two international and one local professor, are encouraged to apply.

At the start of the second semester, IMM Algeria students had the pleasure of taking part in an enriching week dedicated to Partial Differential Equations, led by Professor Yacine Chitour coming all the way from Paris.

IMM wins the Elsevier Mathematical Sciences Sponsorship Fund for “Building Mathematical Capacity against Social Discrimination”
Taking place at the Abdus Salam School of Mathematical Sciences in March, 40 students from diverse backgrounds will take part in a youth hackathon using mathematical models to study discrimination, bias and barriers to inclusion in STEM-followed by a panel.

This year, IMM is hosting a series of online skills development and research sessions. We believe these sessions will be an enriching opportunity to strengthen participants’ ability to contribute to impactful mathematical research.

Open to everyone and online, the sessions will run from January to June 2026. More details about the courses, structure and speakers will be shared tomorrow.
