What an honour it was to be asked to emcee both national pageants for Regional Canada Pageants during the first year they combined the junior and senior competition weekends.

Trust me when I say this won’t be the last time you see me on stage with a microphone 🎤💫

The top phrase I never want to hear again after a pageant is over

“So I didn’t walk away with a crown”

It baffles me that this is the number one used phrase of the women who don’t get the title

For SEVERAL reasons

The biggest is that I am always a queen and a winner, and I always choose to lead with that no matter the outcome

The second is that people can literally see you don’t have the title in your photos so it’s self explanatory

The last and also the most important reason?

I’m not here to use language that 99% of other women

I’m not here to blend in with how others do things

Most women think no crown is a loss and broadcast that until their next pageant announcement

Meanwhile no matter my result my mindset is always “Watch me, I’m just getting started”

Because I’m here to build something so much bigger than one pageant

And the clarity and recognition of my brand is always going to get me bigger wins, acknowledgment and even paid opportunities

For the woman here to do this, who is making her own wins & money after the pageant
