ADRA has commenced Phase 111 of the Post Hurricane Maria Rebuild program with the first project at Laplain. Funds provided by ADRA UK.
Three years after Hurricane Maria destroyed what was called home in the Village of Dublanc, the family of five yesterday 16th August, received keys to their brand new resilient home built on the same spot which was home to them. The project was initiated by Melvin and Karen Hatch of USA and funding provided by ADRA France, the Association of Dominicans in the Bahamas and the Caribbean Union of Seventh-day Adventists. The family played an integral role from start to finish and are grateful for what God has done through ADRA and other benevolent agencies and individuals.

Another historical event in the history of ADRA Dominica took place yesterday August 16th at Dublanc. A family of 5 received keys to a 3 bedroom house on the spot where once was called home prior to Hurricane Maria. After 3years of waiting the family is happy to be home again. The family played an active role in the rebuild process from beginning to end and we can say that we build with them rather than for them.
The project was initiated by Melvin & Karen Hatch of USA and funding from ADRA France, Association of Dominicans in the Bahamas and the Caribbean Union of Seventh- day Adventist brought the project to completion. A fully concrete resilient home replaced what was destroyed by Hurricane Maria to the honor and glory of God.
