Midsummer is better together.

On 23 June, Fyn & the Islands gather for Skt Hans by the water, in gardens, at harbours and local spots where the bonfire brings everyone a little closer.

Many places also take care of the food and drinks, so all you have to do is book your spot, bring your favourite people and let someone else handle the food, drinks and fire-lighting. Swipe through for a few places to join the midsummer mood and check their profiles or websites for tickets, booking and the full details.

Now let’s all cross our fingers for soft summer weather. 🤞🏽

The best views on Fyn and the Islands, you ask? 🌅

More than we can count 😋

But we have photographic evidence of these 6.

📍Lille Risevej on top of Ærø
A hilltop view with the South Funen Archipelago scattered out in front of you — islands, sea and sky doing their thing.

📍Frøbjerg Bavnehøj
The highest point on Fyn, so yes, the view has had a bit of a head start.

📍Vissenbjerg Hills
Step onto the new viewing deck and take in layers of treetops rolling through one of Fyn’s hilliest corners.

📍Great Belt Bridge
Catch it at sunrise or sunset, when the bridge turns into a very long line between sea and sky.

📍Stige Ø
A former landfill turned green escape, with wide views over Odense Fjord and plenty of room for wind in your hair.

📍Svanninge Hills
The Funen Alps, if you ask the locals — soft hills, deep greens and a view worth climbing for.

Feel free to add your own favorites in the comments or tag us next time you share your favourite view on Fyn and the Islands 💙

How often do you get to run across three bridges in one half marathon - while the South Funen Archipelago does its best to distract you from your pulse? 🏃🏻‍♀️

This Saturday, Fynske Bank De 3 Broer half marathon sends runners from Rudkøbing to Svendborg across the three bridges: Langelandsbroen, Siø Sundbroen, and Svendborgsundbroen 🌉

The 2026 race is sold out, but the route is still very much open for cheering 👏🏾

Here are three spots perfect for catching the runners, cheer them on, and feeling the very specific energy of a half marathon morning:

📍The starting point in Ørstedsparken in Rudkøbing
📍Troense in Tåsinge
📍The finish line at Svendborg Torv

And let’s not forget the main characters of the day: the runners. Here are three places to land softly after three bridges, 21.1 kilometres and several moments of “whose idea was this?”

📍Frederiksø in Svendborg
📍Kammerateriet in Svendborg
📍Lolo Bakery & Bar in Svendborg
📍Café Gaardhaven in Rudkøbing
📍Det Søde Hjørne in Rudkøbing

Send this to someone running the route this year, or to the person you’d like to share the start line, the bridges and the finish line with next year 🏁

If you can tick one of these three boxes, we’ve got a suggestion for you:

🦦 You’re obsessed with otters. Or travelling with someone who is.

☔️ You’re on Fyn with kids, and the weather has chosen indoor mode.

🌊 You like the sea, but also quite enjoy staying dry while learning about it.

Then head for Fjord&Bælt in Kerteminde.

It’s back with a new main building, a new café overlooking the fjord with delicious coffee and treats, stories from life below the surface and the chance to get close to the European otter, Fie. Which, frankly, is a very strong argument on its own.

But there’s more. There are seals, harbour porpoises, fish and crabs too - a small local cast of fins, whiskers and claws 🦀

Rainy day? Curious kids? Secret otter agenda?
Sorted ✅

Save this for your next family day on Fyn 💌

A tasty reminder that Fyn is not just somewhere on the way. It is somewhere you book a table 🍽️

This week, the MICHELIN Guide Nordic Countries 2026 was revealed and Fyn once again has a seat at the good table ✨

Restaurant ARO in Odense keeps its MICHELIN star, while Restaurant Madeleine has joined the MICHELIN Guide as a recommended restaurant just a few months after opening 🤩

Across Fyn, Falsled Kro, Lieffroy and Hesselet also remain in the MICHELIN Guide - each with their own take on why good food is a perfectly good reason to travel 💙

A big congratulations to the Fyn restaurants recognised by MICHELIN and especially to the staff in the kitchens: from the chefs, sommeliers, waiters, dishwashers, growers, and producers making Fyn taste this good 😋

Would you travel for a really good meal? Then save this list for your next foodie get-away 💌

Didn’t make it out on two wheels today? 🥲

For World Bicycle Day, we thought we’d bring the ride to you 💙

And if you’ve ever wondered what it feels like to cycle on the small islands of the South Funen Archipelago, here’s a little glimpse: sea views, the ferry passing by, and quiet roads on Lyø with barely a sound around you ☀️

And in case you didn’t know: the cycling node network is currently being rolled out across the rest of Fyn and the islands and you can already start planning your next route at cyclenodeplanner.dk.

We hope this inspires you to get rolling, whether that means hopping on your bike today, saving it for later, sharing it with someone who’s ready to swap traffic for sea breeze, or planning your very first cycling holiday 🚴‍♀️

Denmark’s best farm shop? Right here on Fyn 🏆

Nybro Frugtplantage in Mesinge has been named Denmark’s Best Farm Shop, at least according to the many people who voted in OpdagDanmark’s nationwide poll 🗳️

Just a few kilometres north of Kerteminde, Tina and Thomas Nybro run a fruit orchard, farm shop and their own juicery 🍏

Here, the shelves are filled with seasonal fruit, apple juice, local delicacies and plenty of good reasons to make room in your bag 😋

Even better: Nybro Frugtplantage is both Bike Friend and Hike Friend, so cyclists and hikers are more than welcome to roll in, wander in, take a break and stock up on something fresh for the road.

No bike? No boots? The free Sommerbus runs between Kerteminde and Fyns Hoved on weekdays in weeks 28–32 with a stop in Mesinge. Very convenient 🚌

Congratulations to Nybro Frugtplantage. A very juicy win for Fyn.
