Our Head of Global Business Development, Service Partners, Kim Gram, joined a session at Confederation of Indian Industry International Conference on Space 2025 last week. His panel, “Enhanced Focus on the Complementary Dimension of the Space – Defence Relationship” discussed India's push to strengthen space assets for defence applications and how the integration of space-based technologies for surveillance, communication, and intelligence is poised to not only enhance operational readiness but also catalyse deeper private sector involvement.
One of the biggest themes from the session was the need to build technologies based on real operational situations. Kim highlighted our participation in the EU funded European Protected Waveform program, which has the specific purpose of achieving secure communication between troops and assets for the purpose of safety and efficient operations. As Kim pointed out, this could be a good model for India, and other nations, to follow.
Thank you to Dr Anupam Sharma from the Indian Ministry of Defence for chairing the panel. And to the other panelists:

Yesterday we announced how Quadsat is working with major satellite operators to provide a simplified method of testing for the antenna registration process.
In this blog, we'll discuss how we are simplifying antenna testing for Govsat.
Quadsat’s streamlined approach makes it easy for GovSat to make informed decisions about antenna registration. Data sets generated by Quadsat’s tests are consistent no matter the location or type of antenna it is, which significantly simplifies the approval process.

🛰 🗞 We are proud to announce we are working with major satellite operators to provide a simplified method of testing for the antenna registration process. This includes a recent partnership with GovSat which will allow all antennas across the GovSat network to be tested using the Quadsat system. GovSat will also be able to work with Quadsat to offer antenna measurement and verification services to its customers.
By partnering with operators, such as GovSat, in this way, we will enable them to simplify the process of antenna registration significantly, while reducing the risk of interference, as well as offering antenna measurement and verification services to its customers.

In the latest MilSatMagazine, Quadsat's Christian Rex-Nielsen discusses the challenge of ensuring seamless and consistent use of the Electromagnetic spectrum, something that is crucial to enabling the military to communicate with confidence, navigate with certainty, perceive an operational area with lucidity, and engage with accuracy during peace, crisis, or conflict.
The increasingly complex multi-domain environment, coupled with recent and ongoing conflicts, is making that more challenging than ever before experienced. At the same time, navigating this evolving landscape requires the military to effectively make the invisible, visible, in order to easily gain insight and knowledge of the available spectrum and any threats to keeping the spectrum ‘clean.’
Christian explores the invisible and exactly how it can it be made visible.
