They are simple, yet, very special people. They may be men or women of any age, color, profession, nationality or faith. Outnumbered or overwhelmed.

The purpose of the page is to provide a platform (a forum), for positive minded individuals who want to create positive changes, not just in their immediate activity but also in the society, and who don't stay in words but actually do it. There are many very able and competent people with the awareness of the fact that WE are creating our society and determining our future; people with the innate

Dionysis Savvopoulos: “…you need a bit of courage. Otherwise, nothing changes.”

"A song is a shorter distance
between two people.
But it has to be that kind of song.
It ends, and you feel inside you gentler;
brighter.
As if a new life is unfolding before you.
And as if the life you’ve lived until now
no longer feels your own.
That’s where you feel a little afraid.
That’s where you need a bit of courage.
Otherwise, nothing changes.
The scene doesn’t change any other way."
Dionysis Savvopoulos

On October 21, 2025, Dionysis Savvopoulos departed from this life time. For more than half a century, through his music, he didn’t just create a good feeling, but he inspired, encouraged, motivated and invited positive change. He made his songs work as a bridge from “me” to “we.” He was one of the very few artists who chose to craft works that didn’t simply replicate emotions or touch a sentimental chord just to make the listener relate.

The words I quoted at the beginning of this article explain his approach: he described a song as a moment that ends with you feeling “gentler, brighter” — transformed. That transformation is at the heart of positive change.

His example showed that the artist’s true role is not only to entertain, but to serve humanity and society — to help improve them. If you really look at this we can all follow his example in our lives. Because living can itself be a form of art. Some people live their lives more artistically than others.

I like seeing myself as an artist of life — trying to infuse art into everything I do. Everything we do or say can be like a song.

So, if you go back to the words of Dionysis Savvopoulos that I quoted at the beginning of this article and replace the word “song” with the word “life,” you’ll find that what he said can inspire us all to be true artists in living.

With everything we do or say:
to bring people closer,
to make people around us feel gentler; brighter,
make them feel transformed as if a new life unfolds before them.
To empower and encourage others to not be afraid
and to go ahead and create positive changes,
because otherwise, nothing changes;
the scene, doesn’t change any other way.

Dionysis, you have inspired millions of people to be more active, more alive, more unconventional when they feel so — and to be artists in their life. You have created a lasting positive change for many people. Thank you for all your incredible work and for the positive fingerprint you have left on society. We will miss you but we will always remember you. Have a good journey and a great new beginning, wherever you are now.

Empowering Music: Artists Driving Positive Change 05/11/2024

On Positive Change Forum, we celebrate those artists who choose to go beyond heartbreak and failed romance, creating music that uplifts, empowers, and challenges us to think deeply. While mainstream charts are often filled with songs about love’s ups and downs, a smaller yet powerful category of artists uses their music as a platform for positive change. These songwriters and singers help us find strength, unity, and hope—even in tough times.

We extend our gratitude to these artists who make the world better with every lyric and melody. Their work is a reminder that music is not just an escape—it’s a tool for transformation. One such inspiring example is the song “My brother”. Music, lyrics and vocal by Grigoris Petrakos which you can listen to here. (see lyrics in English below).

Well done to Grigoris Petrakos and all the team of artists that contributed. And let’s applaud all the artists who choose to inspire, not just entertain. After all, positive change starts with a single note.
