In times of change, alignment becomes a competitive advantage. When teams understand where the industry is heading and rally behind a shared purpose, they're able to move faster, make smarter decisions, and create greater impact.
That's how meaningful progress is made.

But it will be defined by who extracts the most intelligence from data.
Digital is no longer simply improving project delivery. It's becoming one of the industry's strongest competitive differentiators.
Turner & Townsend's proprietary digital platform, The Hive, brings together data, delivery expertise, and advanced analytics to help clients navigate increasingly complex programmes with greater certainty.
By integrating RIB Software's CostX into The Hive, cost planning has been transformed from a standalone process into an intelligent, connected source of insight that informs decisions across the entire project lifecycle. This is about far more than digitising existing processes. It's about:
▪ Standardising data globally to drive consistency
▪ Connecting previously fragmented systems
▪ Enabling earlier, smarter decisions
▪ Using predictive insight to manage risk before it impacts delivery
▪ Creating a scalable digital ecosystem that continuously improves performance
As our industry evolves, organisations that successfully combine deep delivery expertise with digital capability will be the ones that lead.
We’re proud to be working with clients like Turner & Townsend to help shape that future, developing digital solutions that don't just keep pace with change but create lasting competitive advantage for our clients.

Are legacy ways holding your construction business back?
Digital transformation isn't just about implementing new software. It's about building the confidence, skills and mindset to work differently.
Many construction organisations still rely on disconnected systems, manual reporting and siloed processes because they're familiar. But in today's environment, where projects are more complex and margins ever tighter, familiarity can become a risk.
The organisations at the forefront of innovation are those investing in:
• Digital skills across the workforce
• Connected project data
• AI readiness
• A culture that embraces continuous learning and innovation
Technology alone doesn't transform businesses. People do.
Read our latest blog https://okt.to/y2BAMx to discover why digital confidence is becoming one of construction's biggest competitive advantages, and why the question is no longer if your organisation should transform, but whether you're ready for what's next.
The Need for Digital Skills & AI Readiness in Construction Discover why digital skills and AI readiness are essential for construction teams to improve collaboration, reduce risk and deliver better projects.
Sustainability isn’t a workstream in construction. It’s a system outcome.
For too long, sustainability has been treated as an overlay - a metric to report on after decisions have already been made.
But the reality is this:
You can’t retrofit sustainability into construction. It has to be built into every decision, from the earliest concept through to delivery. And yet, the industry still faces a gap between intent and ex*****on.
Many organisations recognise the importance of reducing carbon.
But most still struggle to measure and track it consistently.
This is where the shift needs to happen.
Sustainability in construction isn’t about adding more tools or creating more reports. It’s about connecting data, workflows, and decisions so that impact becomes visible - and actionable - in real time.
Because when sustainability is embedded into the system:
✔ Carbon becomes a decision variable, not a compliance afterthought
✔ Trade-offs between cost, time, and impact become transparent
✔ Teams can move from promises to proof
At RIB, we believe the future of sustainable construction isn’t just digital - it’s integrated, traceable, and built into the lifecycle itself.
The question is no longer why sustainability matters.
It’s how we make it measurable, repeatable, and scalable across every project.

Is the next generation of Quantity Surveyors ready for what's next?
Commercial awareness, contract knowledge and solid judgement: the fundamentals of quantity surveying haven't changed. What has changed, is how those skills are applied.
Today's QS needs to be equally comfortable working with digital workflows, connected data, AI and modern technology as they are managing costs and contracts.
Gen Z-ers entering the profession expect:
➡️Digital-first workplaces
➡️Connected project data
➡️Smarter decision-making powered by technology
➡️Continuous learning supported by experienced mentors
Given that just 10% of current construction workers are under the age of 25, with 41% set to retire in the next five years, firms that successfully combine decades of construction expertise with digital capability won't just attract the next generation of talent, they'll become the leaders of tomorrow.
In our latest blog, we explore how the QS role is evolving and why mastering both traditional skills and digital innovation will define success in 2026 and beyond.

🏃♀️Team spirit on the move! 🏃♂️
On 7 July, 32 colleagues from our Stuttgart office joined thousands of participants at the B2Run Stuttgart, successfully completing the 5 km corporate run around NeckarPark and finishing with the unforgettable run into the MHP Arena. The event brought together around 7,000 participants from companies across the region, celebrating teamwork, wellbeing, and community.
A special congratulations goes Steffen Mantel, who achieved an impressive 82nd place finish out of more than 5,000 participants.
Whether running, jogging, or walking, our colleagues represented RIB with enthusiasm, determination, and great team spirit. Events like these are a great reminder that strong teams are built not only through the work we do, but also through the experiences we share together.
Well done to everyone who took part! 👏

The construction industry is changing quickly - and not in one direction only.
Digital transformation, AI, sustainability, workforce pressures, customer expectations, and new commercial models are all converging at the same time. For companies in our industry, this creates both urgency and opportunity.
At RIB, we believe progress depends on alignment. Strategy, product, commercial teams, marketing, customer success, and regional teams all need to move with a shared understanding of where the market is going and where we can create the most value.
This is why leadership conversations matter. Global town halls, customer events, learning weeks, and regional forums are not just communication moments. They are alignment moments.
When we connect people around a clear strategy, we make better decisions. When we connect teams around customer outcomes, we create stronger solutions. And when we connect our industry around shared challenges, we help move construction forward.
