Yesterday, our investment manager Tanja Koch attended the annual event ‘Forum UnternehmerTUM’ in . Under the motto “building new tech businesses together”, Tanja explored the local scene and talked to successful companies such as KONUX which started at “Manage&More” – the entrepreneurship program by Technical University Munich

Using existing land for efficient will be crucial for meeting the increasing food demand caused by heavy population growth in the next decades.

At Fluxunit we strongly believe that solving societal problems can only happen through technological progress. We therefore invested into Canadian startup MotorLeaf who enable farmers to monitor their harvest and recognize plant disease or plant maturity remotely.
Their technology will be a major step towards increased efficiency in agriculture and will contribute to the of .

Excessive population growth will contribute extensively to resource scarcity in the future. Fresh water will be especially important since a larger population will need more food than ever.

At Fluxunit we feel responsible for doing our part in securing a sustainable future. Our portfolio company agrilution - a Munich-based start-up developing fully-automated indoor glasshouses helps to build that future. Their technology which is intended for private users, enables customers to control plant progress via an app.
Additionally, OSRAM has set up an IOT-platform to provide digital toolkits for start-ups that focus on smart lighting solutions. We at Fluxunit anticipate exciting use-cases that combine smart lighting and efficient agriculture solutions.

What an exciting event! Our investment manager Tanja Koch attends Axis Innovation in Tel Aviv and explores the local ecosystem. Listening to interesting such as the one of Agro Scout, we learn about the various opportunities of systems for such as increased and reduced pesticide costs. Farmers further argue that such system not only help to detect illnesses of fruits but also their level of maturity which contributes to improved yield harvesting/ management.

Moreover, there is an increasing number of Israeli startups that are part of the next generation production. The production of is an increasingly widespread and super method as it is low in saturated fat, contains all amino acids and is cheap to grow.
