Anthropic dropped the model that didn’t just code — it worked. 80.9% on SWE-bench (the highest ever at release), self-improving agents that peak in 4 iterations, an effort parameter to dial up reasoning, and computer use that actually clicks the right buttons. Translation: one prompt → hours of autonomous work. Long-horizon tasks stopped being a demo and became a Tuesday.
2️⃣ OpenClaw — exploded Jan 2026
An Austrian dev (Peter Steinberger) shipped an open-source agent that runs locally on YOUR machine, plugs into Claude/GPT/DeepSeek, and lives inside WhatsApp, Telegram, Slack — the apps you already use. No more “open the chatbot tab.” You text it. It books flights, sends emails, runs shell commands, builds its own skills. 250k+ GitHub stars in months. Jensen Huang called it the Linux moment for agents at GTC 2026.
