Thanks to for the article on my “DJ vs. DJane” topic and for sparking such a lively discussion. It was genuinely entertaining to read through the comments and in a way, they reaffirmed my own thoughts on the matter... 👀

That said, what is absolutely not okay are the insults, the devaluation of women and the dismissive attitude toward DJing as a profession ☝️Is that partly a Facebook issue and its audience? I feel like Instagram tends to be less harsh and less degrading. What do you think?

“If you smiled, you’d be much prettier.” A sentence far too many women know. Why is it still considered normal to comment on a woman’s mood or appearance, no matter the context?

As a DJ, I’m constantly in front of people, being watched. And these comments aren’t rare... They’re unnecessary and honestly EXHAUSTING 😒😤 Why is it almost always directed at women? You rarely hear anyone say this to a man 🤔👀

➡️ What if we shifted the focus back to what actually matters: the music, the energy, the shared experience. The reason we’re all there in the first place? 🪩

Let women exist without commentary. Let the work speak. And let the night be about the vibe, not someone’s face 🙏

DJane? No thanks. Many people use the term out of habit, good intentions or a desire to gender language but it misses the mark.

DJ (Disc Jockey) is already gender-neutral. Creating DJane doesn’t really make linguistic sense, and it subtly reinforces the idea that women in DJing are an exception 💿🎧 So why invent a separate label when it’s unnecessary?

➡️ I’m a DJ. Not a DJane. If you want to highlight representation, say female DJ. It’s clear, correct and free of outdated connotations 🤝👀

I’m not a regular mom, I’m a house mom 🎧🔊 And I love showing my kids my world.

Last weekend I packed up the family and we drove to Switzerland for a gig in the mountains.
While I was playing my set, the girls were having fun in the snow.

🤔 People often ask me how you can do a job like this as a mom. But being a DJ doesn’t stop you from being a mom… and being a mom doesn’t stop your DJ career either. This is how easy it can be.

I became a DJ to play music, produce new tracks and give people good nights — not to overthink algorithms, watch follower counts, or constantly analyze what kind of content might go viral next. But being a DJ in 2026 feels like having to be a full-time content strategist first… and an artist second.

Am I the only one feeling this way? Or are other artists struggling with the same balance between creativity and online presence?
