B O N G O S T Y L E Maa Durga ( মা দুর্গা) in progress

Maa Durga in her ten arms avatar ( দশভূজা) atop her mount ( বাহন) - the Lion.

In the grand tapestry of Hindu mythology, the image of Durga is a beacon of divine feminine power.
In most of India, particularly in the North and South, Durga is often depicted as the fierce, solitary warrior goddess, Mahishasuramardini, the slayer of the buffalo demon. She is a magnificent and powerful figure, her multiple arms holding an arsenal of weapons, her face a mask of resolute fury as she triumphs over evil. She stands alone, a symbol of cosmic power and the ultimate protector of the dharma.

But in Bengal, the Durga we see is not a lone goddess. She is the daughter who returns home.
She isn't feared , she is loved.

"Sangama" (সঙ্গম) is Bengali for "coming together." Sangama Erotika is when Shunga meets K**a Sutra at a contemporary Bengali House party on a lazy Sunday afternoon.
It’s where my imagination truly plays. Think of old Japanese Ukiyo-e masters: publicly celebrated, but privately creating "Shunga" art just for the knowing few. That's my spirit. It's about desire, yes, but mostly about that joyful, unspoken connection.
