Happy New Year from Polychroma! 🥳

A week ago, we had the pleasure of starting off 2026 with an all-Telemann concert at the Telemann-Zentrum Magdeburg. The audience was warm and the snow falling outside made for a magical backdrop ✨

Many thanks to the organizers and our hosts at the Telemann Zentrum and .magdeburg for making us feel so welcome and taking such great care of us. We had a wonderful visit and look forward to next time! Herzlichen Dank! 🫶🏻❤️

Happy birthday to our incredible flutist Anežka Drozdová!❤️

She is one of the kindest, nicest, and most caring, empathetic people you will ever meet, and brings so much joy and passion to everything she does.

Anežka is the true definition of perfection! Her work ethic is unmatched and she is incredibly dedicated to making sure that all the tiny details we find in the music come to life.

On top of that, she is an excellent cook and baker, and brings a cozy atmosphere to all of our rehearsals by sharing her love through her delicious treats!

🎻Telemann zum Jahresanfang. Klar, lebendig, überraschend vielfältig.

Am 4. Januar 2026 eröffnet die Sonntagsmusik das neue Jahr mit Musik, die genau das tut, was man sich nach den Feiertagen wünscht: Sie schärft die Sinne. Concerti, Suiten und Quadri von Georg Philipp Telemann zeigen, wie viel Gestaltungsfreiheit und klangliche Fantasie in seinen kammermusikalischen Sammlungen steckt.

Das Ensemble Polychroma nimmt diesen Gedanken wörtlich. Traversflöte, Violine, Violoncello und Cembalo treten in wechselnden Konstellationen auf, mal kammermusikalisch intim, mal konzertant zugespitzt. Die Werke aus den Sammlungen Six quatuors ou trios sowie Six concerts et six suites klingen dabei nie gleich, sondern entfalten je nach Besetzung ihren eigenen Charakter. Mehrfarbig eben, ohne Effekthascherei.

Ein Konzert für alle, die Telemann nicht als Denkmal hören wollen, sondern als wachen, neugierigen Klangforscher.

🎫 Und ganz pragmatisch gedacht: Karten für den 4. Januar sind auch ein erfreulich sinnvolles Weihnachtsgeschenk. Musik statt Staubfänger, Erlebnis statt Umtausch.

Today we’re wishing a happy birthday to our amazing harpsichordist, Marta Pindór!

Originally from Poland, Marta is not only a brilliant musician but also an ultra-photogenic style icon 😎✌🏻and a loyal, steadfast friend.

Her gift for choosing harmonic color and her dynamic musical momentum make her a powerful force in our continuo team. We love that she makes music the same way as she lives her life - with passion, honesty, insight and well-timed humor!
