TRISOLAR ist ein Festival für improvisierte Musik in Leipzig.
Es begegnen sich drei unterschiedliche Ensembles und gestalten zusammen farbige, karge,
todernste, witzige, melodiöse und eigentümlich freitonale Klangwelten auf der Grenze zwischen
Geräusch und Ton. Sie treffen in drei Konzerten in jeweils unterschiedlicher Konstellation
aufeinander und lassen faszinierende Momentkompositionen entstehen.

Was tun, wenn es einem vor Ideen den Kopf zerreißt? Raus damit! Wir werfen alles auf den Tisch,
leeren unsere kreatürlichen Rücksäcke. Es formen sich Landschaften, Momentkompositionen geben
sich die Klinke in den Fausthandschuh und Fragen bleiben unbeantwortet; wie sich das gehört!
Missverständnisse werden mit kollektivem Beifall honoriert und am Ende bekennen wir immer
wieder gerne: es sind alles nur Gastrollen!

Bizarre Klangobjekte, klassisches Instrument, verkabelte Maschinen und Text in allen
Lautmöglichkeiten der menschlichen Stimme. In der Performance von KALK ergreifen vier
autonome Künstlerpersönlichkeiten situativ und in lyrischer Gebärde den Raum. Inspiration, Klang
und Poesie sind Input für Improvisation und Interaktion.

Ready for some african beats!
Sometimes things just get crazy! As for this piece, you will fight your way through meters such as 5/16, 3/8, 2/8, 5/32, 10/16 and a very special one in five dotted sixteenth notes. All this fuss only to arrive at the wonderful traditional turkish rhythm called Geng-i Harbi.

To all the friends of a rather advanced approach towards cajon playing! This is an excerpt of a Cajon Solo por Tangos. It constists of four parts: Entrada / Zapateado / Escobilla / Salida
I would say that this somewhat reflects a very practical way of playing when you accompany dancers. Give it a try and most importantly learn it by heart! Here is a fairly easy piece for framedrum, which deals with the shuffle feeling. Towards the end there is an interesting passage where you have to find your way back into an ordinary binary subdivision. Give it a try, maybe even on a different kind of drum. I believe one should at least once deal with all 58 cellvariations of a seven meter and its two main metric divisions. Therefore I constructed two exercises which do exactly that. Now you only need to accept the challenge and go for it!
In this video excerpt I run through the first piece with 27 rhythmic variations of the seven meter. I accompany myself using the misra chappu tala in 3+2+2. At the end you will find the score.

Dear Music Friends!
The last few weeks I have been revising and hopefully improving my YouTube Channel for PfefferPercussion. Here I present mostly instructional videos for:

They are frequently updated. The Rhythm Training includes special Weekly Exercises which are being published every Sunday evening at 7pm. (Central European Time) Its a course of 52 workouts that are designed to help you develop and enhance your rhythmic skills.

This is a short Cajon exercise dealing with the main rhythm of the Tangos por Flamenco and the main clapping rhythm (palmas). There are three compases (grooves) and three corresponding remates (endings). If you want to learn it step by step, just visit my YouTube Channel Pfeffer Percussion.

Liebe Perkussionfreunde!
Wiedergeburt! Nach einer langen Ruhepause des Pfeffer Percussion Projektes, die ich mit dem Kompositionsstudium an der hiesigen Hochschule verbracht habe, soll es nun diese Jahr wieder mit Pfeffer Percussion weitergehen.
Zunächst hab ich für euch einen eigenen YouTube Kanal erstellt und bereits einige Videos hochgeladen.

Somit können wir direkter kommunizieren und ich kann besser auf eure Fragen eingehen.
