We don’t need no fancy names to get a party going, real headliners waiting just around the corner ready to set the floor on fire! After almost one year we’re back at Leipzig's one and only Neue Welle and therefore we’ve prepared something big:

To celebrate our second night at this venue and almost three years of Self Learning System we’ve invited underground stars and rap crew Kleptos from 061, who will most likely set the floor on fire with breakbeats, loads of bass and catchy rhymes à la „K Kleptomanie zu klauen ist ihr größter trieb, Ey luft zu holen fällt dir schwer wenn du uns siehst”.

This won’t be the only live-set of the night, cause why not?! Saxony’s finest Friedrich Ernst is going to perform his slickest moves and machine rhythms made to let your hips shake. Seems like this boy is never ever again touching a DJ set-up fulfilling his fusion with the machines.

To get the gathering going we’ve invited German Angst and are pretty sure the DJ-Team operating on the axis between Düsseldorf and Leipzig is the right bet to set the pace for the night with a true-school Electro set.

Also: Tooflez Muzik boss Andi A is our special guest to close the floor and it’s a pleasure to have her on the line-up. We highly appreciate her musical output and are honored to have released a bomb of a track from her on our latest Tape compilation “Hidden Curses”.

We’re back with a little event outside of “Swobodny stat Sakska”! Self Learning System hits the trainline once again and visits the second largest city in Thuringia, 07745 Jena. We’re very happy about the invitation from Café Wagner and thrilled to check out the local dancing skills. Therefore we will arrive with the two label heads Unisex & Ernst +++ special guest sophiise, a new and very exciting artist from Leipzig's thriving DJ scene.
Opening the night is a rather new task for DJ Unisex, who’s mostly known for late night sets and closing duties in the style of Detroit Electro and Chicago Warehouse Acid. Nevertheless we’re pretty sure he’ll give the party a proper kick-start.
Afterwards Friedrich Ernst is taking over the booth to perform the most slick and fresh version of his Live-Set. Expect one hour of quality engineering on the machines, tweaking the k***s till they burn and crumble to get the most clean Electro Techno Breaks out of them.
Peaktime entertainment is the job of sophiise, not only resident at mjut club Leipzig but also one of the most interesting upcoming artists of the city. As a part of Substituierbar it’s no wonder they deliver sets that are inspired by multiple genres, but always with a hefty focus on breaks, bouncy rhythms and heavy bass.
To round up the night we decided to get a B2B situation going in which all acts of the night are free to join forces behind decks and show what a well mixed blend of different genres does to a crowd.
As always: don’t miss it, otherwise you‘ll regret it!

🕸️ HIDDEN CURSES OUT NOW 🕸️

We're very happy about the fact that today our first cassette will be released. Also it’s the first time we're publishing music from external artists, which means a lot to us and we're very happy about everybody that took part in this project!

The compilation consists of 17 tracks - 17 musicians that are all, in some way, more or less connected to our label. Side A showcases a more experimental approach to electronic music, with ambient, drone and more deconstructed sounds on it. While side B sets the focus on the dancefloor.

Every cassette comes with an inlay print and a bandcamp download code.

Get ready for a night of electrifying beats and modern bass at Self Learning System's klubnacht at mjut! Again we have an incredible line-up featuring some of our favorite artists in the scene. Solaris, mom of Leipzig's PH17, will open up the night with shaking breaks and bass that will get you moving and set the vibe for the night. If that wasn’t enough, labelfriend and all around nice guy DJ Detox will be delivering a live set fresh out of the machines to get you sweating! Afterwards, IFZ Resident and G-Edit founding member Neele will be joining us to surprise you with some electro gems that you won't want to miss. But that's not all, label hosts DJ Unisex and Friedrich Ernst, will close the night with a BRE2BRE. So, what are you waiting for? Grab your tickets now and join us dancing. C U!

As you all may have noticed, someone broke into mjut and grabbed money from the safe. One more reason to bring your friends, come early, stay late and empty the bar! 😤

After 3 records, our own event series and lots of great memories we made, with all the people we met on the way, we're gonna celebrate 2 years of Self Learning System at Neue Welle this January. Therefore we’ve invited Viikatory, who will play her Leipzig debut that night, and also contributed two tracks for our upcoming releases. This won't be the only firstie that night as Friedrich Ernst is going to perform his fresh Live-Set for the first time in Leipzig. Also on the line up, local legend Miss Take, who will kickstart our birthday celebration with a 3 hour DJ set delivered in fashion: out of the box thinking, genre boundaries breaking and all glued together by quality mixing, we’re very happy to have her on board for this special occasion. Closing down the night is the task of DJ Unisex, his debut solo EP ‘Chromatic Stimulations’ just released he will deliver a special and highly 80s influenced DJ set in great memory of Rotterdam party nights.

meet your electro boygroup in Berlin next saturday spinning heaters all night long with one of our favs in the game right know. So excited to share the booth with Viikatory as we already have some things in the pipeline with her for next years projects. SPOILER: better be ready for her Leipzig debut at our 2 years anniversary party at neue Welle in January. 👀

Finally and within just one year we're releasing our third record ~Chromatic Stimulations~ by DJ Unisex!

This also means we're now opening the label to external musicians. Our next release will be a compilation with tracks from lots of friends and international acts, available as a cassette tape.

Most important: thanks to everybody that is supporting us! We met so many lovely people on our journey as a label so far and are very happy for all the creative minds surrounding us 🥰
