I am a Simracer since 1998 and my first racing simulation game was TOCA Touring Cars Championship and Colin McRae Rally as well, at PlayStation 1. TOCA racing game simulated the British Touring Car Championship season from 1997 with all race cars from the different car manufacturers like AUDI, Renault, Ford, Peugeot, VOLVO and many other car manufacturers. All official race tracks from the season 1997 was included like Silverstone, Donington Park, Snetterton, Brands Hatch and a hand full other race tracks but all races are only in Great Britian! My first virtual race car was the AUDI A4 Quattro in this offline Championship.

After a couple of weeks with TOCA Touring Cars Racing Simulation, I had started my virtual rally career, too. Rally is a very special discipline for me, more speed, more passion and more adrenaline as well. I can feel it how is my blood running through my veins and you have to be on your guard all the time! I guess there's nothing crazier in four-wheel motorsports than rallying.

In 2000 I bought my first Fanatec Racing Wheel on the second hand market for 120,00 DM (Deutsche Mark), it was a good old Speedster PlayStation 1 Edition and this one was equipped with a rumble shock motor! At that time this was a revolution in the early simracing market/area. The spring effect of the Speedster was created with two springs which running in opposite directions, thus a fully mechanical spring effect. Now in 2020 brushless motors deliever the force feedback feeling. Of course I never want to miss this technology again.
