I was asked what tools I use l, how much I love my hobby and what I do for living.

People think I do this stuff for living, but I'm just a regular ICU nurse with 3 Hobbies which are lived kinda excessively 😉😁

I'm very proud about this hobby, not being helpless and being dependent on a workshop for a lot of things.

As a german with an incurable wanderlust I love to travel, the MQBing became my Hobby and passion back in 2014 and I love to go carp fishing for +22years to calm down and enjoy the silence on the waterside.

What are your hobbies, except the mutual one we share with the VAG cars? :-)

You probably already saw the new CUPRA Leon and CUPRA Formentor which has been released yesterday!

The most beautiful cars of the entire MQBw "Golf class" line-up! :)

These models are now affected by the new UNECE regulations.

Retrofits and coding on these cars are now illegal by law officially and will bring features like:
SFD2, IVDs which proof the integrity of your hard and software.

You can read about it and all the other regulations on the website of https://unece.org and YouTube.

Important: IT WILL AFFECT EACH CAR MANUFACTURER WHO WANT TO SELL CARS IN THE SCOPE OF THE UNECE. Mercedes, BMW, Kia, Hyundai.... Tesla... There is no escape and this is not a VW only bu****it ;-)

Nevermind, i'm thinking about buying a preowned Formentor "1.0" in the beginning of 2025 and simply add some stuff from the new Formentor Facelift 😂

Some of you guys were correct about what i do on this nice construction site T6.1.

Born as a basic Transporter which came without windows behind the b-pillar the owner already retrofitted those and many more cool features (PLA, BSD...)

Now it was time to get some nice digital stuff, these things you're always in interaction with:

- Active Info Display
- VW Discover Pro MIB3OI
- Front camera MFC3

Future plans:
- Manual A/C upgrade to automatic A/C
- Webasto parking heater.
- TBC.

How many of you guys know what's up with this or what's the difference here and which project is affected!? ☀️

It took me 3 -freaking- years to convince my friend Nils to upgrade his Golf mk7 GTI to MIB3.

I'm a fan of it since minute 1, when it was first released on 2020 cars.

So my motivation was awakened to integrate this into my SEAT Leon SC FR from 2014. It was already done in 2020 and running absolutely flawlessly for me since day one. I even don't have any bad experience with the OCU3h.

Last monday Nils finally agreed for this upgrade retrofit and we met to get it done.

After some coding and matching sound datasets to his car, he immediately became convinced by this new device.

Benefits:
- wireless App-Connect
- Waze / Maps are displaying navi-arrows onto MOST-FPKS.
- the mk7 Golf derivate is even displayed ;-)
- really fast booting
- JND has a direct cooled SoC.
- SDS became much better
- 0 DTC stored inside the infotainment system.

The last couple of weeks I received a lot of questions of you boys n girls regarding the update procedure of your Infotainment system.

I even fixed plenty of your bricked devices and such who stucked in an infinite bootloop. No problem, but... please don't do things without any preparations and without enough free time.

The recent update 1969 of VW/Seat & Skoda in is very brilliant and stable.

Some people uploaded it in many places of the web unauthorized - so be careful with the content you are using. There's a high brick potential.

What's needed?
- time
- double check of the dependencies of the bulletin (min version installed, allowed region...)
- a battery charger
- USB-C pendrive
- the update itself.
- your local official/authorized workshop to solve the rest of the TPI/bulletin (in some cases you need a new refreshed SecOC certificate)

I recorded a video about what's happening during the update process. Get a feeling how long it can take and how long your screen could stay just black. Relax and wait. Impatience is not good :-)
