Hatred Inherit return with a vengeance on Void, their second full-length release and a fierce statement of survival after the loss of their debut during the pandemic chaos. Clocking in just under 31 minutes, Void delivers an unrelenting slab of technically sharp, emotionally scorched death metal — fast, tight, and devastating in all the right ways.
Rooted in the legacy of bands like Morbid Angel, Malevolent Creation, and Immolation, Hatred Inherit don’t reinvent the wheel — instead, they refine it to a deadly edge. The sound is dense and punishing, driven by writhing tremolo riffs, seismic drums, and guttural vocals that feel both primal and precise. There’s a focus here, a discipline — Void is executed with surgical precision, yet never loses its soul.
“Shrine” opens the record with ferocity, a barrage of dissonant guitars and relentlessly shifting drums that set the tone for the devastation to come. The band wastes no time — each track is built for impact, and none outstay their welcome. “Feeding The Abyss” digs deeper into atmosphere, lacing its complexity with menace, while Frederico’s vocals rumble like an ominous force beneath the surface.
“Violated” ratchets up the chaos with twitching, angular riffs and explosive momentum — a furious, compact burst of violence. It’s followed by the slow, grinding “Deathmarch,” which leans into a more death-doom territory. The tempo drops, but the intensity doesn’t. Drummer Kai delivers crushing blows with mechanical precision, while the low-end booms like the sound of concrete splitting under pressure.

The song feels like a storm of collapsing belief — a theme carried throughout the album’s lyrical undercurrent. The sixth track, “Fading From Within,” feels like a turning point — slower, more spacious, and emotionally bleak. The devastating German death metal band Hatred Inherit have a new album titled "Void" scheduled for co-release this month by Satanath Records (Georgia) and Pest Records (Romania), and today we premiere its second single, "Shrine" (see the comment link below). As Islander writes in his introduction:
"The song is a breathtaking but also bleak experience. It’s both unmistakably brutal and technically impressive but also melodically nuanced, capable of harnessing, even at high speed, sensations of hatefulness, rage, despair, and pain."
