Hosted with love by us but made special by everyone who showed up and shared the joy. ♥️
And in that moment, Germany feels a little more like home. 🤍

"MAA k haath ka khana" 🥹

For us, these two Bhindi dishes are nostalgic. We (Basit & I) had different opinions back then, we would say 'I prefer it prepared like this' or 'this is more flavorful this way'. But we realized, it was never about the recipes, it was about the feeling of love and care behind it, it was about the emotional connection to the past, it was about the food memories tied to specific tastes, HAMARI MAAON K HAATH KA KHANA. 😍 Today, I cooked Bhindi following two different recipes, Ammi's (his mother) & Mummy's (her mother).
So basically, it's the food my son's mother cooked following his Nanu's & Dadda's recipes (MAAON K HATH KA KHANA). 🤭 Recipes passed down through generations, often originating from mothers or grandmothers become cherished heirlooms. Now it's Aurhaan's turn to create his own food memories, the memories strengthening the link between food and family! 🫰🏻
