Never let anyone tell you you’re not enough just because you’re different. I was told by important people “you’ll never be taken seriously as long as you’re doing the trumpet thing” I’ve been playing since I was a kid, I actually went to band camp. I was far from “cool” but the thing I love doing has given me more than I could have ever imagined.

This is the hardest track I’ve ever worked on and it took everything I’ve got. Winona Oak was able to capture what I was going through in real life with a level of depth and sensitivity that’s incredibly rare. Her work on this record is pure poetry and I’ll be forever grateful 🖤
