Teacher moments: When you ask your Thursday German course: Which day is today? And they respond, in unison: Freitag!

I have to admit that I have never heard the word "Querlüften" before .... And I know so many people who are scared of falling sick when a draft of air passed by, that I have some doubts about the German passion for "Lüften".

Cultural Differences

This is cute! I was aware, obviously, that standards for constructing houses are, well, more demanding in Germany than e.g. in the UK, and that windows in Germany tend to isolate a lot better than in some other countries. I had no idea, though, that there could be such an enthusiastic response to German windows! Have a look!
