40 years ago, New York City’s CRO-MAGS defined the metal-punk crossover with 1986’s landmark album, The Age of Quarrel. The intensity, influence, and groove of that record not only still echo today but are marked (and fueled) by the explosiveness of the band itself, which has persevered and built a lore and reputation as dangerous as the band itself. Now helmed by founding bassist and vocalist, Harley Flanagan (who assumed frontman duties for CRO-MAGS with 1989’s Best Wishes album), it’s time to bring the quarrel to its conclusion with this celebration of the legendary album itself.
Joining Flanagan on this revisiting of CRO-MAGS classics including, “Hard Times”, “World Peace”, “Malfunction”, as well as the addition of the 1985 demo-era classic, “Everybody’s Gonna Die” are former bandmates, (AOQ guitarist), Doug Holland and former Suicidal Tendencies and CRO-MAGS axeman, Rocky George as well as members of modern MAGS acolytes, Turnstile and Rise Against. Mit Klassikern wie „Opa“, „Gestorben auf dem Weg zur Arbeit“, „Sabine“, „Russen-Hitler“ oder der Chaostage-Hymne „Wochenendticket“ sorgten die Berliner Punk-Provokateure gerade mal ein Jahr nach Veröffentlichung des Debüts "Musik für Arschlöcher" einmal mehr für reichlich Wirbel. Die Musikwelt Mitteleuropas reagierte damals mit Abscheu und Entsetzen – Schlagzeilen wie „Singende Terroristen“, „Ärger vorprogrammiert“ oder „Angriff der Ekel-Punks“ machten die Runde. Nur das Punk-Fachmagazin BRAVO zeigte Verständnis und Mitgefühl: „Die Punks aus Berlin kennen kein Tabu und nehmen selbst das Hausboot der Kellys („Der Rhein ist tot“) auf die Schippe. Auf ‚Ich schlafe mit mir selbst‘ prangern sie die Einsamkeit in der Großstadt an.“ Anders als auf dem Vorgänger verlassen die Berliner auf diesem Album immer wieder die engen Grenzen des deutschsprachigen Punkrocks. Mit herrlich trashigen Ausflügen in 60's-Garage („Tante Gerda hat Krebs“), Dub-Reggae („Schützenkönig“), Schlager-Rip-off („Hunde, wollt ihr ewig leben?“) oder sogar Disco erkunden sie erstmals jene musikalischen Gefilde, aus denen später ihr unverwechselbares Aggropop-Konzept entstehen sollte. Diese Jubiläumsausgabe erscheint als auf 777 Exemplare limitiertes 180-Gramm-Gold-Vinyl mit edler Goldkante, stabilem 350-g-Karton-Cover und großem Comic-Inlay. Swedish band No Fun At All 's name was inspired by a tongue-in-cheek version of The Stooges song "No Fun" as covered by the S*x Pistols, and the name of the band Sick of It All. "The Big Knockover" is their third album, originally released in 1997, and widely considered as a classic skate punk album. The fast-paced 13-track record features notable fan-favorite singles like "Catch Me Running Round" and "Away From The Circle". Die Band „Der Dicke Polizist“ (auch als DDP bekannt) wurde 1993 in Koblenz gegründet und ist eine feste Größe in der Punk-Szene. Ihre Songs setzen sich kritisch mit Themen der Gesellschaft auseinander. Nach anfänglichen Erfolgen mit Demotapes wie „Keine Liebe, keine Gerechtigkeit“ (1994) und "Wir habens satt" (1997) veröffentlichte die Band 1998 ihr erstes Album „Es geschah am hellixten Tag“. Die folgenden Jahre brachten einige Wechsel in der Bandbesetzung und eine Umbenennung zu „DDP“ im Jahr 2005, da der ursprüngliche Name oft als zu humorvoll für ihre ernsthaften Themen missverstanden wurde. Auch die Labels, wechselten einige Male. Nach den Alben „DDP“, „Alexithymie“ (Impact Records) wechselte die Band zum Bandeigenen Dritte Wahl Label. Nach einer kurzen Pause kehrte die Band 2014 wieder zu ihrem alten Namen zurück und veröffentlichte 2015 dort die EP „Naive Automaten“. Nach knapp 10 Jahren Pause spielt die Band seit März diesen Jahres wieder Konzerte!

Amyl and The Sniffers have announced "Truth Or Consequence", a live album that is anything but a traditional concert recording. Last April, the band recorded a unique performance with friends at the legendary El Coyote Mexican Restaurant in Los Angeles, performing their songs for the first time in stripped-down, country-inspired versions.
