Here are some monochrome DJ portraits I made last year for there Berlin based booking agency . They have an arguably amazing group of talented DJ’s in their roster that represent the female and q***r spectrum. A spectrum that is often underrepresented in the industry!Their Mantra: No Gender - Just Souls! If Techno is your thing and you see any of these names on an event flyer or running order: Trust The “Power” - go and see them!

I had the pleasure to make some portraits of the Berlin based Techno DJ and producer a few weeks back for the booking agency . The shoots I love the most are ones where I can collaborate with other creative minds who pull me out of my routine. For other photogs out there: We all have our setups, our go-to’s, but isn’t it awesome when the people you are making portraits of randomly go like “Hey what if we try out this or that!?” These photos were pretty much the result of just going with the flow. In this case, it was her first ever photoshoot… I mean whaaaat?! Absolute legend! If Techno is your jam…don’t miss out on Tikoa and go see her spin some records!

Americana Vibes incoming…here are some photographs I made in Colorado Springs last August. Shot with a Leica M6, Summicron 35 ASPH, Kodak Vision 3 250D Cinema Film. It took me a few years and multiple approaches to like this film after some escapades, experimental and not so favourable outcomes from different sources and labs… But now, this filmstock has the potential to become my new favourite, as I really like the way it balances shadow detail and highlight retention. Then of course there is the overall color profile /cinematic look with colours that are not too punchy. Can you guess 1-2 Photographers who may or may not have had an influence on me over the years? ;)
