Buzzing electronic sounds open this track, a sparse, archaic piano theme enters, occasionally interrupting the rugged acoustic landscape.

This is the final track of the concert, the encore. After an hour of floating and listening to our music, the people slowly woke up and gave us a much appreciated enthusiastic applause.

The archaic and austere beauty of the medieval town in Tuscany, San Gimignano, with its bizarre towers rising high above the relatively sparsely wooded hills of the region, inspired us to create this piece. What does ancient masonry sound like, storing centuries of stories and experiences that it never reveals? Calm, strength, mystery and grandeur shape the musical unfolding.

…an arpeggio in the piano seizes the piece, while a bass pulse in the electronics—initially quiet, then steadily growing stronger—drives the music forward, supported by the rhythmically employed muted piano bass strings, toward an ecstatic climax. Afterwards, bell-like cascades descend, and the piece dissolves into ethereal realms…

…at the beginning, one immerses into a sonorous, warm-dark soundscape, before a rich, peaceful piano theme emerges. The electronic textures that follow, now with a gentle pulse, continue to convey a sense of elevated, gentle calm, until the piano suddenly stands alone in complete silence. Yet the piece gradually recalls the sonorous quality of the opening and concludes in the same way…

When the moon rises above the horizon. How big it appears, and orange, sometimes even red. How dangerous it even looks.

…an endlessly revolving nocturne with a deeply melancholic, infinite melody is gradually ‘flooded’ by a drone-like electronic wall and eventually completely overlaid and destroyed orchestrally. The electronics culminate and then dissipate into dazzling light, almost hissing away. The nocturne from the beginning quietly reappears – as if it had never entirely gone – but its color has changed; now it is brighter and more positive, leading the piece to a peaceful conclusion.

We find ourselves in a forge where the protagonist Siegfried is at work: metal is being cast, steel is being shaped, it is loud and hot, the heat and the glare of the fire illuminate the forge.
Siegfried is focused, we step inside his mind, where a calm, concentrated and meditative mood prevails.
We experience quiet moments with Siegfried before the overwhelming noise of metalworking envelops us again.
