10 years ago, we met in the "Klangraum" sound healing tent at the New Healing festival. After a magical night trip in the forest and shared intimate moments, we decided to sleep separately. The next morning Ayam left. We didn’t even exchange numbers. No contact remained, only a familiar memory🫦

Chris searched for Ayam for a year and a half—offline and online—until the universe aligned us again. He finally tracked her down in an old Pilates teachers' Facebook group and reached out. When we finally met, it was as if not a single breath had passed. 🕊️

We survived the distance between Berlin and Kassel, the endless train rides, and the slow process of weaving our mutual sound into our first album, and all of that with kids and patchwork family😆

But the path wasn't linear. We faced a pivotal breakup and crises that forced us to ask: Are we ready to choose this fully? We took time off. We explored other lovers, other lives, other worlds. We felt the silence and the heartache of being apart. But after the wandering, the answer was a resounding yes. We stopped living in two different worlds and decided to build one together. Since then, we’ve been creating, producing, and performing across the globe—turning our life into our art. 🌍🎶

Sitting here in this tiny house by the ocean during our last days in Sri Lanka, we know the existential weight of the world is real. We feel the "shaky ground" our community is walking on. But if these 8 years taught us anything, it’s that resonance is the only constant. We can’t control the global 'reset', but we can control the frequency we hold for each other. 🌊🏠

I have to be real with you for a second, okay? ❤️

Lately, it feels like we’re shouting into an ocean. We’ve sent so many applications to festivals, so many emails to producers, and honestly? Most of them just... ignored us.

What hurts the most is the lack of integrity. We’ve had festivals reach out to US, telling us they love our music, jumping on calls, having long threads of "we want you here"—only to go completely silent when it comes to the final lineup. No 'yes,' no 'no,' just ghosting. Even in the spaces that claim to be about connection and heart.

It’s a strange feeling to know your medicine is real, yet feel "unseen" because of a digital metric. Because we know the truth—we see it in your eyes. We saw it here in Sri Lanka, where people were so moved by our live sets, and we felt it in Europe, even when we opened for Yaima in Berlin and the energy was pure magic. The feedback from YOU, the people, is what keeps us going.

Is this what the "conscious scene" has become? A numbers game? A "friends bring friends" club?

But these rocks in Mirissa reminded us: Truth doesn’t need a VIP pass. We didn’t come here for permission to exist, to sing, or to bring our medicine.

We are heading back to Europe now, not to "fit in," but to turn the volume UP on what matters. We are on a mission to raise the frequency of our existence through our message and music. No more waiting for someone to open a door for us. We’ll build our own entrance. 🕊️
