PechaKucha means "chit-chat" in Japanese. This is a presentation style event in which each speaker gets 6 minutes and 40 seconds to talk about a certain topic and to present his*hers project. In our program there will be also an open discussion with the speakers after.
If you have a project related to "Art and Protest" we invite you to present it. Send us a few words about you and about your project and we will contact you. The event will take place at the end of June at DROP, as a part of the Floating University Berlin program.

A Bar at the Floating University
With the semester project “Form and Protest” of weißensee academy of art berlin (Visual Communication) eight students will be participating to the Floating University Berlin program by building a bar! The bar will be open during the open weeks of the university. Follow us for news and save the date:

What about a city, where living space has become an internationally traded commodity? Students of weißensee academy of art berlin examine, test and transmit forms of protest against commodification of housing and open spaces. This will happen where any revolt has started: at the counter of our bar at the Floating University .
