Again we had a visit of 26 interested students from Willem de Kooning Academy in Rotterdam today at our studio.
We’ve been talking about our story, the decision of working as a freelancer and founding a graphic design studio and our projects in general.

A small inbetweener: Schröder+Schömbs PR asked us to illustrate a map of LA as a good bye present for a former long time employee who’s leaving for the city of angels – including secret and more famous tips of all her colleagues. We’ve been responsible for the whole map excluding the character illustrations.
Take care Melly and enjoy the West Coast life!

We’ve been lazy … or call it too buzy … anyways here you can see the further development of the calendar incl. April (yes, you are totally right, it’s a waterfall), May (it’ll be clearer together with August) and parts of June. Keep on drawing!

Ab September haben wir wieder einen 6 monatigen Praktikumsplatz zu vergeben.

Das sollte von deiner Seite drin sein:
· mindestens abgeschlossenes Grundstudium des Kommunikationsdesigns
· fundierte Kenntnisse in den gängigen Grafikprogrammen
· nicht Pflicht, aber immer von Vorteil: Programmierkenntnisse
· kreativ, neugierig, engagiert, spontan, zielorientiert, vielseitig
· Zeit zwischen Anfang September 2015 und Ende Februar 2016

March – ahh it’s a palm tree!
Actually the only hint we already gave when we unveiled the calendar late 2014.
But maybe the strange February line makes a tiny bit more sense now.
Stay hungry!

February (with a bit of March already)
Yes we can feel your “what the **** is that supposed to be” but trust us it’ll all make sense by the end of the year.

As the final chapter of “2014 — upstruct projects in review” it’s actually one of the first projects of the year: the catalog design for the amandus film festival 2014. Here we bring the idea from the posters to life: creating new (film) characters with flipping and combining the page stripes – one might remember this “game” from childhood days. Therefor the catalog actually has 4 covers in a row. After separating the stripes at the perforated lines the reassembling process can start.

That was it with the past year. But we’re sure 2015 will be at least as great and challenging as 2014.
We’re on it and will provide you with the upcoming visual “Schmankerl” when time is right.
