With playing tonight, we revisit our work with for the Air Jordan 4 Black Cat – a detailed, cinematic coffee experience built around its dark aesthetic, with a customised La Marzocco Linea Mini.

Only two were produced, this one and the one sent to the legend himself.

The tension between precision and spontaneity played out across Sentier’s interior, where technical features – mountaineering fixtures, ropes – were set in constant dialogue with playful, unexpected details like recycled rubber foam benches and branded French milk crates. Hard-edged profiles and glossy surfaces clashed with organic materials like rock and stone, all integrated into an adaptive environment where surfaces and materials were collaged throughout: textile boards, vibrant colours, plywood, aluminium and salvaged screens.

In select areas, surfaces were left raw and unfinished to produce a “work in progress” aesthetic – shifting the space away from the slick brand stores and “shabby chalets” so typical of the Alpine village. Spanning across three floors, Sentier combined retail, exhibition and community space in a design that remained rooted in local trail running culture while reflecting the global nature of the sport.

In parallel with the Berlin half marathon, Sunst heroed the Vomero 18 by transforming the Nike Berlin Store into a bold, tactile expression of “Colossal Cushioning” and propulsive power.

The immersive store takeover delivered a high-impact, sensory-led experience that invited athletes to engage with the shoe’s dual-foam innovation – ZoomX and ReactX.

Sunst’s spatial design for Sentier – a project by Ravanel and Nike, employed layered storytelling to extend the space beyond retail and establish it as a community hub and cultural platform. Located in the mountain village of Chamonix, Mt. Blanc, home to the UTMB. The store’s dynamic identity was shaped by a deliberate plurality, expressed through diverse material textures and the interplay between the precise and technical with the playful and organic. The aim was to produce an environment alive with spontaneity and creative impulse – capturing the rebellious spirit of trail running and the obsessive nature of trail runners. Photo credit: .space

Combining moody, otherworldly textures with crisp architectural precision, Sunst Studio designed a layered and sensory environment for Asphaltgold’s new Frankfurt store.

Shaped by resonating contrasts and unexpected material pairings, the store became a physical embodiment of Asphaltgold’s narrative richness, communicating the brand’s deep connection to community and contemporary culture.
