At the age of 18, the classically trained cellist, composer, and pop artist KELSEY LU fled their Jehovah’s Witness family by jumping out of a window. Eight years after
this escape from rural North Carolina, they released their debut project, Church (2016), an EP whose bare-bones take on folk laid the groundwork for a sound
that evokes the avant-garde expansiveness and symphonic flourishes of Arthur Russell, Bjork, and John Cale.

For this cover story, COLLIER SCHORR photographed Kelsey Lu in their apartment in Brooklyn, while American visual artist ARTHUR JAFA met Lu in their hotel room in Venice. The two artists discussed pop music and the elemental forces of light, shadow, and play behind the musician’s new album, So Help Me God. 📕

One of the most influential graphic designers of his generation, has spent the past two decades shaping the visual language of contemporary culture through his work at Bureau Borsche in Munich.

The Summer 2026 issue of 032c, out June 24, marks the beginning of this collaboration and already features a complete redesign conceived by Mirko and the team. (The appointment also completes a circle: in the early 2000s, he contributed to Issue #2, “Destruction“.) Mirko’s redesign celebrates the power of print while opening a new chapter for 032c’s visual identity - extending from the magazine into digital platforms, fashion, and beyond.

At an absinthe bar in London, artist EDWARD SKELETRIX tells Cassidy George about “getting cancelled,” non-duality, and his new photo album, Body of Work.

… Despite being widely categorized as a rapper, is a worldbuilder whose practice spans countless media. Beyond painting and photography – which he primarily creates using self-timer – Bass also stages both digital and analog performances. In recent years, the real-world performances have escalated physically: Bass once threw a $20,000 jacket into a crowd, which resulted in physical fights among the audience. On another occasion, he placed himself inside a transparent box with a hole cut into it. Fans “attempted to light him on fire,” in the artist’s words, by throwing lit pieces of paper into the enclosure where he sat.

And it just happened with GUCCICORE cruise show by last night. Absolutely awe-inspiring to experience it!

Nostalgia and lore surrounding Gucci’s trifecta of elegance, seduction, and provocation is mined and transformed into clashing archetypes that generate PURE ENERGY. All the obvious criticism - too much Balenciaga, not enough new gestures or designs - may well be true, but ultimately feels beside the point.

(At heart, it’s a reactionary argument rooted in a vision of fashion that no longer exists, or at least no longer holds cultural relevance.)
