"Faded Star": Hard Techno mit Tiefe

Mit „Faded Star“ meldet sich LEGAT zurück – und macht direkt klar, dass hier nichts auf halber Strecke passiert. Der Track zieht einen sofort rein in diesen dichten, dunklen Sound, der irgendwo zwischen hartem Techno und industrieller Kälte pendelt. Kein sanfter Einstieg, kein langes Warm-up – stattdessen drückt der Beat von Anfang an nach vorne, während sich darüber eine Melodie aufbaut, die fast schon schneidend wirkt. Genau dieser Kontrast zwischen roher Energie und klarer Linie macht den Reiz aus. Es ist ein Track, der nicht einfach nur ballert, sondern dabei auch eine gewisse Tiefe mitbringt.

Inhaltlich funktioniert „Faded Star“ wie ein akustisches Bild vom Vergehen. Die Idee vom verblassenden Stern zieht sich durch den ganzen Track – erst noch hell, dann immer brüchiger, bis am Ende alles in sich zusammenfällt. Diese Entwicklung spiegelt sich auch im Aufbau wider. Anfangs noch relativ klar strukturiert, wird der Sound nach und nach fragmentierter, verliert sich in düsteren Flächen und taucht immer wieder in diese „stillen Wasser“ ab, die alles schlucken. Trotzdem bleibt genug Druck dahinter, um den Track auf der Tanzfläche zu halten. Gerade dieses Wechselspiel aus Kontrolle und Zerfall sorgt dafür, dass man nicht einfach abschaltet, sondern irgendwie mitgezogen wird.

Produktionstechnisch setzt LEGAT auf einen kompromisslosen Mix: harte Kicks, verzerrte Texturen, dazu diese fast schon fragile Melodie, die immer wieder durchbricht. Gegen Ende wirkt es, als würde sich alles auflösen – bevor noch einmal so etwas wie ein letztes Aufbäumen kommt. Kein klassischer Drop, eher ein finaler Moment, der kurz aufleuchtet und dann verschwindet. „Faded Star“ ist damit kein Track für nebenbei, sondern eher einer für die späten Stunden im Club, wenn der Sound dichter wird und die Grenzen verschwimmen. Düster, intensiv und ziemlich konsequent umgesetzt."

🚨 Important Announcement 🚨

A few weeks ago Spotify accused me of “suspicious streams” on my release Raging Times. Without any investigation or even asking me, my previous distributor (CD Baby) instantly deleted the release.

Let me be clear: I have never - and will never - buy streams. It’s illegal and pointless, and those so-called “suspicious” plays were just 500–600 streams. Nothing that could make me richer or more famous.

And here’s the real problem: since these streams cost next to nothing, any ill-wisher could simply buy a few fake plays for an artist they dislike and as a result, the whole release could be taken down from the platform. That’s how absurd and dangerous this system is. I strongly suspect that this is exactly what happened in my case.

This whole story is outrageous. But I didn’t stop there: I signed with a new distributor and re-released Raging Times.

👉 I need your support now more than ever. I lost my real streams and listeners from the original release - something that should be restored, because those plays were honest support from my audience.
